I like that......dont know about the lumen rating but as for the look of the light i like it. The only thing that might give me concern is the tailcap....my little one likes beating me upside the head with my lights as it is already.

It looks cool and I would have bought one for $25.80 but they're out. Oh well, better luck next time.

Here you can see a P7 dropin of a Ultrafire 502B...It's terrible!

Stuff enough aluminium foil and heatsink grease in there and the heat sinking will merely be poor. Works for me... Just make sure the LED is attached to something solid and heat conductive. Which is easy if you have a machine shop and just about impossible or very expensive if you don't.

I understand now. :D That's great advantage and impossible for me.

Or me. A friend who now lives a long way away owned a lathe though.

The lights look exactly the same, with the same stats but one is and SSC-P7 for $25.80 and the other is a SST-50 for $44.40. So what is the difference between the two that makes one almost 20 bucks more? :~

A P7 costs about $15, an SST-90 costs over $30. The SST-50 will cost less than the 90 but more than the P7. However, the real cost will be in the driver. An SST-50 wants 5 amps instead of the 2.8 of the P7 - but at 800 lumens claimed it isn't getting close to 5A.
