Good buy without enough information?

Saw this on ebay, $21 including shipping and they ship from California, not HK!

Includes 2 18650 batteries which charge in the body? I wonder what emitter is in this thing?

1st/ Its not going to be 500Lumen , it might be 200Lumen .

2nd/ Its not a terrable deal , as long as it works , Id say a fairly good buy . As long as its something you want . Please feel free to post a review if you decide to buy .

Its not something Im personally interested in , but then again , the more flavours out there , the more happy flashaholics .

Yeah, I'd bet it is a Cree XR-E which will max out at about 200 lumens, but there is no way to tell since they don't tell you what's in there or show a picture of it. Seems like if it was a XP-G, XM-L, or MC-E, they would tell you.

You just have to hope they haven't stuck a generic LED in there...shudder... :P

I would "ask the seller a question" in ebay on this one.

I have so many chargers and batteries around, I don't need a hoist with its own on board charger. Other than that, I don't trust the latter will work properly.

Did that a few hours ago, no answer yet. It does say it's a Cree, I'm guessing they have an XR-E in it.

I don't see the deal in this ..bad batteries .. 2 bad chargers ...charging in the flashlight it'self bad idea . not interesting host .bad emitter.. bad driver .probably a bad tint . it's gonna be cheap and you'll be kicking yourself for buying it I think it's a VERY bad deal ....

last time something this bad was a good deal was in november with a police sticker on the front of it for 7$ for the same thing in a box .. don't waste your money or time .

So the guys a liar from california instead of H.K. 500 lumens means a p7 mce or xml right?

or you can buy a c8 xml from KD for $25...hmmmm

Maybe you need the bad battery charging inside the flashlight with a bad charger to get the 500 lm - that is to say the moment it goes *POOF* >)

So why do you guys like the Xtar so much with the built-in charger??? For retail $60, on sale for $31?

Hmmm , many speak from experiance or from being around a long time ..

If its too good to be true [ rings in their ears ] , then it probably is not .[ true ]

Here is the rub though , if no one buys it , to check it out , then its all Opinion based on speculation , based on something [ past bad experience ] .

$20 is the price of a movie , [ driving there , buying a few munchies , driving home ] , so for the price of a couple of hours of entertainment ..

Again , take others advice for what it is , a warning of possible pit falls . It could work out wonderful for you , BUTT! , then it may not , it could turn into a repair excersise and skill's building program , and one heck of a learning experience . Possibly worth $100's of dollars if taught at a trade school . [ So be prepared for that ]

Forget the fuel and munchies round here - the movie is going to cost that much. Or at least it did so the last time I went to a cinema in 1983.

Vitually every light on ebay is trash .. call me an optomist .. they are a huge disapointment .. the lumen lying is outta hand .. like brted said .. if it had a decent emitter they'd say so .. what's this guys excuse .. he doesn't speak english but lives in california??.. So lets get this right .. he knows and ain't saying .. or he doesn't know and can't say .. And I'm just being nice here .. which is it ??..3 bucks more and you get a great light .

Charging a cheap chinese l8650 cell in a flashight is aaaaaah ...not brilliant .

The real reason I'm shooting this POS down so hard so fast Is I'd lie to make sure some unsuspecting schmo doesn't stumble onto this and think like old4570 said .."hey why not take a chance ".. here's why not >>

I would like to add:

Checkout the comments for this flashlight (scroll down on the product page). I think, there is no other light at KD with so many feedbacks and all of them are positive. Zero risk on this one.
