I just happened to find this:
http://www.brontelight.com/Products-show.asp?id=124
- design looks good, I like it
- has XP-G2 R5
- uses AA/14500
- four modes, including strobe
- very little information about the UI
- expensive! available for $ 41 @ manafont

Seems way over priced, under powered and large for a AA/14500 light. The ThruNite Archer is a far superior light in all aspects for less money.
Sure, the price is a deal-killer here. If it would be around 30 bucks and if the UI was good it could be an option for more runtime-oriented buyers.
I know what you mean. If you look at the Bronte lights, you get the impression they don't know where this brand is going. At least Balder have kind of a recognizable design.
edit: caught him
I’d like to try it.
But I will not pay $ 41 for it.
(I have a Bronte RA01, RA04 and RA20. They are really high quality flashlights, but 41$, No Thanks)
If you have a flashlight “Bronte” and “Balder”, you can not compare, “Bronte” is much higher quality than “Balder”.They are very different quality levels.
