BLF LED Database - Collaboration Spreadsheet - Share latest news about where to buy LEDs

Ohhh, yes missed them - my bad .

Update 03/26: added an update: KD replied to me saying their XML U2 is a 1A tint - hope I did it correct. Noticed the date is US format now??

Thanks.
I started with EU format on the dates. Now I use US one some (if I don’t forget). Ill try to use US date in the future.

Added LEDs from: http://www.theledstore.com.au/ into the spreadsheet.
Lots of Nichias at great prices. Some nice multi emitter boards. They have the best prices on Nichias and lots of them in stock!
Added some XP-G2 multi emitter stars (7-leds) . Same as from Mouser, but slightly higher price.
They will get MK-R on star at a good price (added the info they had). Only place I have seen with that emitter on a star.

As far as I can see. To Norway (in Europe) shipping price is from 14 bucks. Slightly cheaper than Cutter it seems.

Thanks.
Added:
Triple XP-G2 on 20mm star. cool white and warm white on
So far, only source with warm white triple XP-G2 on 20mm star.

I doubt I will ever order from this store. Shipping was 22.50 for some parts… But probably nice for US people.

In general, where do people get their optics from? Im thinking more on the special stuff (3xXPG on 20mm board etc) Stuff that you cant make by buying single reflectors.
Anyone know of some place with free shipping?

This thread is now a sticky. It has been moved to the modding forum from the led light bulbs forum.
Added some emitters from LCK-LED.
XM-L U3 on some copper thingy… 10$
(I gave it the red text like the proper cooper PCBs )

XP-G2 14/16mm (warmwhite and coolwhite)
4.65$
I have sent mail to them about tint/bin.
Like LEDDNA, this is a good source for warmwhite XPG2s. Price is great!

Update:

Helo have added XP-G2 from DX.
Unknown bin/tint. But nice to see that they get some newer stuff.

Got mail from LCK-DNA.
Updated BIN/TINT info on their XP-G2s. (R5 1A and 7D tint for WW)

I think Illumination supply deserves:
“no, but not expensive” on the free shipping row. I have edited the text.
Most other stores with “no” free shipping have much higher shipping prices.

Questions to everybody
I came across Nichia emitters from Ledrise. (Thanks to DBCstm for linking to it in another thread.)

I was not able to see the typical “famous” 4500k version .
But isn’t this basically the same only in 3000k? Its H1 and 92CRI…

And this the 5000k version? (Seems like a higher output, lower CRI version)
I wonder how it compares to 5000k, NW XP-G2.

No copper there, just some FR4 with vias, appears some manufacturer is trying to fool sellers, some users know what I am talking about. You can see the sandwiched layers, so watch out what you say.

Thanks!
I just said it was some copper thingy. Nice to get some clarification. (I removed the red text)

Still hoping some have answers on the Nichia emitters in my previous post…

Added XM-L2 from DX.

Ill quote Tom E

Its a clearance sale!
Great price!

Good price on those xm-l2 from IO. If they were a 2c tint i would buy a handful of them heck even if they were 1C i would buy some.

Thanks for the info though

As long as nichia allows one to consistently order a single color rank. Looks like nichia’s “color ranks” for the NVSL219A-H1 can range from ~3000k to ~4800k.
“Producer Code NSL219AT-H1 S27” Might indicate rank sw27 (3000k)?

Isn’t the more neutral tint of 4500k the reason its popular?
Cree has 2600-3200k in 90+CRI but only nichia can give you 4500k in over 90 CRI.

Thank you!

And I believe you are correct about the 4500K/92CRI is the magic formula because Cree needs warmer tint to achieve same CRI. 2600-3200k as you said.

I added the two emitters anyway. Just in case someone wants to to a comparison between the 5000k version and XP-G2 NW. (I believe DBCstm had a 5000k Nichia)
Or 3 3000k Nichia vs 1 XM-L2 S6 3000k (90 CRI)

LCK-LED now carries the XM-L2 in the T6 bin, 0D tint. I’ve added it to the spreadsheet.

They also have 16 and 20mm copper MCPCBs, but I’m not sure of the quality.

Thanks RaceR86 and everyone else for the great work with the spreadsheet!

Thanks!!
If you don’t mind, I made it into three rows (14/16/20). Makes it easier to sort that way.
intl-outdoor sell same product cheaper as the spreadsheet shows, but If I understand correctly these can be bought mounted on their copper PCBs for 1.25$ extra?
It sure looks like that.
I edited that into the comment if you dont mind. That way its only one price to sort.

Their Copper PCBs was discussed a little earlier. It seems they do not offer the same heat transfer from the led to the PCB due to the dialectic layer on top of it.
(The middle of the LED is not directly on copper it seems, so that should make the in a “league” below Sinkpads).

Im thinking about adding another sheet for PCBs in the near future. Several places offer copper PCBs now/soon. And it would be nice to know were to buy empty PCBs for multiple emitters too. Therefore just making another sheet for them instead of that little bit on the Information page.

Maybe adding TIR optics too?
I wont bother with reflectors! :stuck_out_tongue:

Im not sure if they updated their description but it reads “No thermal resistance dielectric layer under the neutral thermal path of the LED.”

http://intl-outdoor.com/2-pcs-noctigon-xm16-copper-mcpcb-p-693.html

The ones from intl-outdoor have always had that description. Seems to be good stuff based on description and pics!
The ones I and MosesM were talking about are from LCK-LED.
I see when reading my last post it could easily look like I was talking about the copper PCBs from intl-outdoor.
Sorry about not making that more clear, my mistake.

BTW, Hank from intl-outdoor contacted me the other day. Offered me two pcs (pre-production samples XM-L) for being a good customer!
I have never gotten anything for free (except that one cheapo flashlight from banggood for signing up to their site)!
He asked If I could review them, but I said I did not have the equipment (light meter) to do a proper review vs (alu) vs Sinkpads.
I mentioned Match or Tom E could be recommended people for the job. There are probably several others who are up for the task too.
If some people on this forum have the ability to to a good technical review they could maybe contact Hank from intl-outdoor for some pre-production samples? (not sure if he have many though)
I will probably have to wait for the final-production for free samples. But if he decides to send me some, Ill take some good close-up pictures and share what I can share.

Would be nice to see a comparison though. Sinkpads vs. Noctigon vs the ones from LCK-LED vs standard aluminium.

Thanks Race. Congrats on the free cu. Since you’ve been following Match & Tom E’s sinkpad lux threads, you can just as easily conduct your own tests if you have a lux meter. I dont know if its been posted before, but Ive often wondered what the lux differences might be in a typical C8 size/weight host with lapped cu vs lapped al after a 5-10 minute +3A sustained burn. Although interesting, the 30 second comparisons dont have much value to me.

Thanks… Ill have to wait for the final production to get some. Ill probably order some on top of that anyway… :stuck_out_tongue:
Ill consider buying a light meter. Could be useful in some circumstances, but not really sure if I would end up bother using it much.

Agree, a 5-10min comparison run in a C8 sized host would be useful to see too.

LCK-LED have droped their price on XP-G2s
Only 4$ (down from 4.65:money_mouth_face:
