Thrunite posting fake reviews (now removed)

Hmm, actually, thatā€™s not what the SPAM button is for. But at any rate, CalvinIS contacted me, which is the correct way to handle problems with posts that arenā€™t unsolicited commercial advertising.

As for everyone else, a quick word of caution: Just because information is available on the internet doesnā€™t mean that itā€™s necessarily public domain. We have to be careful with claims and accusations, because BLF has pretty high search ranking and a LOT of visitors. So anything that is posted is bound to be read and possibly misused or misconstrued. Thanks!

Red squirrels! We only get grey ones here.

Iā€™m not taking sides here, but as the registered address of a business it is not ā€œjust your parentsā€ residence is it. And Iā€™m sure Google Maps street view and others will have a photo of the location and I suspect they wonā€™t remove their copy.

The information may well be out there on the web for all and sundry, but to post it in a ā€œd0xā€ fashion is not good form.

There are still reds in a few isolated locations. Also some of the greys are actually black in colour, completely jet black.

Wow!!! Ninja squirrels! No wonder I havenā€™t seen any.

I think they are quite rare.

some info here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/16789326

on the Gelman folum the dealers/sellers/manufacturers/staff do it all the time and the Gemans applaud their review efforts, for example reviews by these 6 well-known dealers:

personally i do not condone such practice but am grossed out by their selling tactics :Sp

Fair doā€™s.

Iā€™m a bit confused due to all the different topics covered:

1: Is Thruniteā€™s POP (Point of Presence) in the USA Illumination Supply? (Their website appears to still carry that information, perhaps they have not updated it?)

2: Illumination Supply is a business operated out of someoneā€™s Parentā€™s house?

POP arrangements are common practice and nothing wrong with that as it can facilitate drop-shipping, nor is there anything wrong with running a home based business, just looking for clarity as I got a bit lost amongst the doughnuts, squirrels, and other background noise.

Thanks for the reply.

Perhaps that is why your home address is more exposed than you seem to have realized. It popped right up at me as soon as I looked on their site after I first saw this thread:

http://www.thrunite-store.com/customer-service.html

Scroll to the bottom of the page and it says:

Guess now you can ask Thrunite to remove it and that will be a good test of their level of responsibility.

They are being sold as though they are perhaps baked, when in fact they are deep fried. Not very healthy. Try putting a donut in the microwave sometime, see if you ever want to eat another.

Probably they wonā€™t be happy to lose their POP in the US, hopefully youā€™ll update the thread with any changes that arise.

Thanks.

Iā€™m feeling nauseous just thinking about donuts. :Sp

Mmmmmm . . . donuts.

mmm, forbidden doughnut

Isnā€™t a Bagel a Dog ???
