Will the 458 set stuff on fire?
Yeah, no problem! Actually about any of the bigger mag mod incans will. I know even a regular MagCharger I can get dark colored paper to smoke.
But, actually, you have to be pretty careful with these. I keep the tailcap off when not in use. It’s really like holding a hand held version of one of those 500W Torchiere floor lamps that used to be really popular, but still kinda dangerous.
I’ll try to get a real beam shot. Incans are most impressive to behold in person, 100 CRI has it’s benefits, but the actual warmth of the IR blasting out the front it what really blows you away!

I have a 64638 to try as well. The filament appears to be about half the size. So I should get pretty decent lux with that one.
in the fm turbo head (same as the one you have) i got about 127klux with the 458 bulb… is the 638 bigger or smaller than the 458?
