New 12x xml light at kaidomain? SBT-70 and SBT-90 also just showed up.

This looks different than the other I’ve seen - ie the reflectors are properly spaced?

oooh nice!

Nicer looking definitely. But: Digital Regulated 3000mA Current Output and “2 hr runtime” not so happy……

I got one of them with worse spacing for my birthday, brighter than J18 but def not 2hr runtime or 3A current…wish I could trade just the reflectors.

Also says on the bottom of the description that it can only use 3 unprotected 18650s.

So yikes?

who knows what they mean w/ that current spec - if it were 3A to emitters and they’re wired in series, that’d be pretty impressive…

I’m pretty sure it would take 26650s….and as far as the unprotected bit, I think that indicates it is probably drawing too much current for protected batteries, so it must be more than 3A?

anyway, I expect it will show up at more reliable sellers

either that or the tailcap wont screw down with protected ones, as we know too well.

ohh, didn’t think of that.

how incredibly stupid do you have to be to design a light too short lol

That description is not correct. It’s using the same body as the Skyray 9x T6 and will easily take 18650 or 26650 protected or not.
It also has a new driver too. Never seen one with High-Low-Strobe.

The 3000mA is for all 12 LEDs, not each LED! 2500mAh per cell time 3 =7500mAh. Divide that by 2 hours and you have 3750mA driving 12 LEDs at 312mA each. At best this is a2000 lumen light and after reflector and lens loss around 1600 OTF.

Horrible!

yeah, its probably underdriven - and unfortunately the other drivers available are for 5x, 7x and 9x.

I suppose the 7x would work if you wired the emitters 6s2p?

Right, thats what I was guessing by those numbers…but mine is more like (4200mAh per cell for trustfire flames *3)/12, but one I got runs about 45 mins before it dims massively, and only 1hr total so its kinda hard to tell, but I figure 1.1A –1.2A each, thats not much better, but the head gets really hot…

whos going to buy this light and a 12xml boost driver? should be good for around 8000 OTF lol.

Nobody makes a 12x T6 boost driver that I’m aware of.

It looks as if Kaidomain did come out with a replacement driver for the 12x T6. However, since they don’t give any specs on the driver, it’s obviously just a stock replacement, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s good to know if you are someone that did purchase the 12x T6, a stock replacement driver is now available.

Now all they have to do is come out with a high power version, then I’d go for the 12x light.

Ya know I was thinking about getting one of those for a while. I know that it would have to be very very under driven. However for a modding type host it would be crazy. Since there is an even number of dies it could be wired 3 series 4 parallel. With some upgraded heat sinking and a set of IMR cells I think you could get 8400 OTF lumens out of it. For about 3 minutes anyway LOL!!

It’s also a great light when used in a 2 x 26650 configuration. I’m also pretty sure the heat sink, which is a bit less than 1/4” thick, is simply placed in the head and adhered with Fujik silicone. So upgrading the heat sink and anything else in this light should be easy.

8400 lumen… thats a small nuclear reactor lol…

Boom

I have one. I can definitely see its brighter than my J18, but I’m going to guess standard Chinese lumens and its about 5000 lumens instead of 13,000, and then drops pretty quickly too. I’d love a driver upgrade
