Crelant 7G10 Looks pretty nice, or does it?

This is definitely the only Crelant I've looked at and haven't cringed.

It is good to finally see some MTG-2s ending up in lights though. I too own the whole crelant line and enjoy them very much. The finish on my 7g5cs is the best out of any of my lights.

Will be picking this up for sure sometime.

Definitely curious to see some beamshots.

The 7G5CS. I own three of them... and want to get a fourth. It's a solid light, with a unique UI. With the aspheric it's also a showstopper... http://laserpointerforums.com/f66/flashlight-beamshots-collection-81167.html

The 7G2CS is the most practical. The 7G3CS is my EDC on a fairly regular basis (this will likely change after the new zebralight 18650 light comes out).

The V9CS is nice, but I would opt for the 7G6CS as the best all around crelant right now.

The V11, v21, and v31, I would stay away from... not bad lights, but not great either. I only kept the v11, sold the other two.

I don't own the 7G9 (UI was unacceptable to me) and don't see the point in getting the V6CS - except maybe for price.

Actually my sincere hope, after seeing this thread, is that they drop this new LED into the 7G5CS format.

w/ less heatsinking area/mass, 1/2 the battery and smaller reflector, it probably wouldn’t sell as well as this 7g10 might

but…I put one in a 7g5v2 and I like it a lot

I like it, its hard to describe an mtg-2 beam, it just puts light everywhere, lots of it.

That side button really needs recessing though.

Your thread is what got me thinking about the possibility. Hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like the beam is nowhere near as narrow because of the LED size. Did you experiment at all with moving the aspheric closer or further?

Guess I'll just have to see one for myself :p

Yes, the beam w/ the aspheric is huge. I quite like it w/ the stock reflector, too and it doesn’t require any modification to fit in the hole.

My wish list just keep growing and growing

Nice to see a flashlight equipped with an MTG2 finally making it to market. The current is slightly less than my MTG2 Torchlite, but this Crelant has a larger reflector. I do like the side switch, but would have preferred it flush mounted, but having a hidden strobe/SOS makes up for it. I also wish they hadn’t used a battery carrier, but from the photos, it does appear very heavy duty.

If the price is reasonable, I’ll have to decide if 1,800+ lumens will be enough for me. Considering most of my lights are about 2200-6000 lumens, I doubt this Crelant will de-thrown my Skyray King, which is a more compact powerhouse of a light.

I’ll keep an eye on this thread and wait for more details.

It is awesome to see an mtg2 make it into a production light. If only it was driven at 4-5A though :frowning:

That is a great looking light otherwise!

OP reflector, interesting... 550 meters? Dunno - Crelant streched those numbers before. Agree it's good to see an MT-G2 on the market, glad it's from Crelant. The UI is interesting, been waiting for a 7G9 upgrade like this but the 7G10 is a different animal.

It's nice to see more manufacturers moving to an omnidirectional cell holder.

looks very nice

The Price has grown along with the lumens. 7G10

OUCH! That's going to be a tough sell considering how much you can grab some other lights for.

I'd like to see a beamshot of it

From the size of the emitter and size ratio with reflector, I would imagine it has a decent hotspot not overly large but definitely not a thrower, and that spill will be substantial. Am I wrong?

madecov will be stocking them soon, he also shared with me the msrp, map, and what he might sell them for depending on his costs/shipping etc - his price seems very fair - if you are interested you should pm him

let’s hope it can be easily modified to 4, or 5, or 6 amps J)

Looks good though (wish the site have photos on how its FLs’ beams light up). But I like the looks of that V21A FL in the site’s PRODUCT webpage.
