[CLOSED] WTB: XP-G CC driver, 8.4V input!

Needed for mini maglite mod.

- 17mm or less (15mm would be excellent)

- 1.5A max (for 1 x XP-G R5) preferably 1.2A

- constant current would be VERY nice

- accepts 2 x 14500 batteries so 8.4V <-

- 1 mode or H->M->L with memory or L->M->H without memory...

Mission impossible or not?

Update: 5/5/2013

I decidet to get NANJG101 instead and transfer all parts from it to square pcb, should be fun :P

Here is one option for you.

Thanks for suggestion, would you say that it can be filed a bit, lets say to 16mm?

You might lose the ground ring on the component side. If that happens you need to reconnect any traces thus cut off to ground and it should be fine. Also make sure that any traces that are not connected to ground stay that way. Anyone know of a 3-mode version of this driver with no blinkies?

yeah, I am aware of that catch, recently had to shave a bit of of a nanjg 105 C to get it fit into TF-X9, left with a pretty thin ground ring but, it's working great (except that stupid driver whines like a bi**h in mid mode, when I finally shove a copper insert under the emitter I will solder driver all the way around )
