RIP Fizz

Really sorry to hear this, condolences.

I feel with you Don. I'm really sorry about your lost

I'm truly sorry to hear that, Don. I enjoyed seeing her pics, it was easy to see she was such a great friend.

SoSorry to hear that, Don. :(

Thanks folks. It did help that so many people loved a hound they'd never met and realised how much she meant to me.

Nothing could ever replace Fizz but you guys helped.

I cannot ever say how much this means to me.

But thanks folks! You helped when nobody else could have,

Here's a poem from Kathy Galloway which says it all.

There is nothing to compare with the pain of death.

You were here, and now you are not.

That’s all.

I search for you in old photographs, letters,

Things that you touched,

Things that remind me of you,

But they cannot fill the space you occupied.

The space is in me too,

Bleeding round the edges where you were torn away.

In the night, strange shapes haunt the space….

Regret, fear, fury,

All the things we might have done.

All the shattered dreams.

How can I go on with this hole inside me?

Partial person!

Don’t let me fill the space with the wrong things.

Don’t let me cover it up,

To eat me from within.

Give me courage to bear my emptiness,

To hold it gently

Till the edges stop bleeding;

Till the darkness becomes friendly;

Till I see the star at its heart;

Till it becomes a fertile space,

Growing new life within it.

If I had not loved, I would not have wept.

This love you have given me;

This love I have carried;

This love has carried me.

And I know that though I cannot see you, touch you,

The love does not go away.

Carried by this love,

We are not divided.

And there will be no more weeping.

That's a beautiful poem Don.

So sorry, Don. Take heart that at least she went gently, after a long life of loving and being loved.

I hope we're all that fortunate when the time comes.

I haven't been on this forum for long, but I've definitely become attached to Don's "assistant". Her affectionate character could be felt through the many posts here. She will definitely be missed by many of us here.

Very, very sad.

So sorry for your loss, Don. Never had a dog but I know what is to loose a friend.

Truly sorry for your loss Don. It is amazing how deep a part of the family a dog becomes.

We got our dog a few years before we had kids. We call them all sisters with the dog being the eldest. Dog sleeps right between the wife and I. Wife takes half the bed and the dog takes most of the other half.

Thanks folks for all your kindness.

I'm told she will be appearing in a music video later on tonight (Around 9pm UTC). This was shot about three weeks ago.

There should be a new version of Song For The Boy going up tonight. And the final edit of Love is Blind. Which may just include Fizz.

Here's a delightful picture from the lovely Dr. Dobb (The viola player in the videos).

That video is awesome.

Yeah they're a real fun band to watch - I've known them for getting on for twenty years.

Don, my sincere condolences. Our animal friends touch us in so many ways.

Also look forward to seeing the new video. They do look like a really fun band.

I'm sorry for your loss Don. Our furry little canine friends are such wonderful creatures.

Its a really difficult thing when a family member passes on.

My sincere condolences Don.

Tim

Im sorry Don. She was beautiful.

Our 19 yr old, 7lb terrier mix Bruno passed last Sept.

I still think about him all the time.

Honor her by never forgetting all that she did for you through the years.

Rest in peace...

Sorry for your loss
