Lightmalls has C12, XM-L2

i wonder if he work at lightmalls :stuck_out_tongue:

“Lou_Menn” PM me a link to a post by “chriszhou” (cf. Cpt Zhou):

Review: Ultrafire C12 XM-L T6 (Warning: Very picture heavy!)

5-mode :frowning:

Chris did the early review on the LightMalls C8, which turned me on to my first C8 and been hooked ever since. Maybe it's not the "best" C8 around, but stock, it was pretty powerful and overall a solid (not great) quality light. Still got it, heavily mod'ed.

Ashame the C12 U3 seems like a dud, stock - should have had all the ingredients because the U3's have always done well. Interesting to see how the XM-L2 does stock, assuming aluminum star and well driven. I wouldn't trust the 4A listing on their site - specs not based on reality - well proven.

Good light this C12!…i like the body and i would to try an XM-L2!!
I was going to buy a Keygos M10 or Supfire X5, but now you have me confused :~ ….the C12 is better?

hay daylighter, is this the c8 xml-2 that is the brightest from lightmalls?

yeah… that’s the one that i bought

ok, i think i may have to try this one. i dunno, i have a thing for c8’s. i honestly dont need anymore, but for some reason, i just like to try all the c8’s that everyone thinks is bright.
i tried lots, and i end up giving away the ones that arent worthy, and even those, were ones that members say were bright.
only two i kept, was the kd c8 and the keygo ke-5.

i wouldn’t blame you for liking the C8… what’s not to like? outthrow pretty much all the lights in it’s price range
it’s a nice small size, easy to carry around and can throw well too.
especially the new XM-L2 version always wowed the crowd everytime i showed it to friends.
i liked it so much i decided to buy 3 more as gifts

okay u persuaded me. i still have faith in my ke –5 and my kd c8’s to win in throw though.
and i still believe the kd will win in the spill and flood category. but i think this lightmalls c8 will be the brightest.

lets just see….

ok i ended up buying two lights since i had to pay for shipping. geez, most places offer free shipping…
i also bought the uniquefire uf-v1, i know its an outdated light, and ugly in its own way, but i just wanted to try it out since i couldnt find any reviews on it, other than one guy on manafont mentioned that its similiar brightness to a hd 2010, but more floody.

i almost bought the uniquefire uf-t8 instead, but last minute change my mind for the uf-v1.

I might give this one a try. I guess it is too soon, but anyone got this one yet?

Be careful. The C12 U3 from light malls was one of the worst lights I have bought, and I have bought quite a few. Flickering madly out of the box. Broken switch. Bad pill soldering job. Off center emitter. weird artifacts in the spot. Just awful.

I’m all for complimenting a vendor when he does a good job, and i try to be understanding when I get a dud, but I couldn’t find anything about the C12 U3 that was right, except that maybe a 18650 cell fit in the tube!

Buyer beware.

I know about the Lightmalls one, I was hoping its not a trend across vendors.

Puzzling why there is no report of C12, XM-L2 from Lightmalls yet!

Is it because it’s as bad as C12, U3?

i got 2 disappointing C12s already… lesson learned, i’m pretty sure if you mod it , it might become a nice light… but then again it will push the light into out of budget category :P.
i’ll save the money and go for the sure thing C8 XM-L2

A user review in C8 XM-L2:
http://www.lightmalls.com/ultrafire-c8-cree-xm-l2-5-mode-led-flashlight-torch-1x18650

” … it’s definitely a lot brighter than C12 and cheaper too ”

Luminous Flux:

C8, XM-L2: 1800-Lumen
C12, XM-L2: Max 1770-lumen

Whatever happened to the better heat sinking with C12?

[EDIT]
From earlier DayLighter post:

Yeah, I put a new driver in the lightmalls c12 u3 after the driver toasted (after about an hour of use). And a new emitter because a q5 literally puts out more light than the supposed u3 that was in there. Works pretty good now. still some weird artifact in the spot, but unnoticeble in real-world use.

But, you’re totally right, I now have the world’s most expensive c12. Rather get a light that works right in the first place.
