Now, the interesting part… benchmark results:
0.1A: 875mAh
0.5A: 865mAh
1.0A: 869mAh
Ignore the voltage, my 18350 holder has massive resistance :s actual voltage tested by DMM is 0.55V higher than shown on 1A graph, and 0.28V higher than shown on 0.5A graph.
They should fit in Malkoff MD2’s, etc, and bored out Surefires. I don’t really see any advantages of using 2-18350’s with a total of 1800 mAh’s, vs. using 1-18650 with 3400 mAh’s though.
Thanks for testing these, Shadowww. They seem like very decent cells. I’m choosing between these or FastTech’s TrustFire 18350s. These DKLs are probably the better choice for my application.
2*18350 (serial: voltage doubles; capacity remains the same) typically enables fully regulated runtime in lights capable of accepting 3.7-8.4V (such as ShiningBeam Blaze, Thrunite T30, etc.). 1*18650 yields roughly 12Wh, but at lower voltage compared to ~7Wh of energy delivered by 2*18350 at higher voltage.
Thank you for the explanation on that issue. I am always wondering what is better to have. More mAh’s, or more voltage within the operating range.
I did not realize the original post was looking for hosts that use a single 18350. Sorry for my misunderstanding of the post. I think that there is now a member over there that is custom making Malkoff MD1’s. He is very talented using the milling and lathe’s and makes a nice unique MD1 host.
Some good info about this battery and 18350’s in general.
I am currently looking at a couple of different lights that can use 2x18350’s in place of a single 18650……I am thinking the 2x18350’s would be able to give a higher lumen output with a shorter run time naturally.
When I get one of the lights and batteries I shall test them out.
Cheers
Thanks for the great info.
I have one question is this battery safe enough to use for Vamo v10 E-cigarette ? The reason Am asking is because I saw couple videos that shows E-cigarette explodes and some people got seriously injured !!! since that day, I took those batteries off the vamo and stopped using it. I started to look for a good quality batteries. What do you guys recommend ?
(I’m not a vaper) I think you best go to the Fasttech page of this battery, with 11 discussions and over 100 reviews in the course of 2 years, there’s a ton of information over there.
