The Audacity

I actually thought about buying the Eneloop XX 2500 off ebay ..'But with all the counterfiets .... I thought why not email Sanyo and request a test sample , so as to avoid possibly getting fake cells ... The Audacity ...

Im sure the request will be turned down , but one must try ....

Amazon has the 2500's...oh yeah, but you are in Oz.

You never know are big companies will react, it mostly seems to depend on how much freedom the person who actually receives your email has.

Anyway what's the worst that can happen :)

Denied !

Ooh bother... :P

What I meant was , I could be denied , it hasnt happened as yet ...

they have them on hkequipment...

This might be of interest. It's german but the graphs and the table speak for themselves. Looks like the Sanyo 2700 is secretely a LSD cell outperforming the XX, at least after up to 90 days of storage.

Those Sanyo are on the to buy list - unfortunately the list is longer than my wallet allows .

So it isn't just me that has a list involving a decade or two of income. Problem is that the top of my list is a giant schnauzer puppy. Prices start at more than I paid for my car....

WAY more than I will pay for any car.

They bred the assistant. And hopefully her replacement. I've tried getting a review puppy but it didn't work :(

That was good , a review puppy , dont give up .

Hmmm , Id like to review a Border Collie puppy for the next 20 years if anyone in Melbourne is reading this ....

The prices of pedigree animals always kills me, I've always liked Tonkinese cats but at more or less infinitely more than a moggy I could never justify it.

When it comes down to it there are only about 4 types of cats short haired, long haired, big cats (Maine coons) and then I would lump all of the ones that people should be slapped for having bred together....really you think a cat with no fur is a good idea? *slap*

At least with dogs their bread can make a huge difference, from Great Danes to Chiwawas is quite a range.

I had what was as near to a pedigree ferret as you can get, both of his parents were prize winning show ferrets. So by ferret standards he should have been quite expensive...about £40 :)

His dad was a giant show polecat at least twice the size of most ferrets, his mum was a little champagne ferret.

By the time he was 8 weeks old he was already bigger than his mum, but she wasn't having any of it and was still trying to drag him around by his scruff.

That resulted in his scruff being all chewed up, bloody and mostly hairless...and in him being free as damaged goods :P

You can always take one from a shelter... :)

That's how we did it. We have got three dogs that way. Sure you might not find a dog with a peddigre there. Somtimes it's even hard to see from which kind he has got the most. So, we have a border collie with a bit of a german shepherd, a labrador - foxterrier, and a dalmatian with something of a greyhound in it (looks and behaves like Pluto, but in black).

One of the lucky shots showing all of our cats and dogs.

Most of the shelter dogs round here are bull terriers which tend to be used by the local neds as weapons. I personally think Staffies are ugly dogs.

With the giants around here, the gene pool is rather shallow so it is pretty much essential to go to a reputable breeder who imports dogs for breeding. Otherwise, you are in for a lot of grief.

I do like the breed, but I do accept there will never be another Fizz. Which is why (Well that and lack of money just now) I didn't get one from the same kennel that bred Fizz.

I have a friend's cocker spaniel coming for the weekend - he's great fun

is the hound in question.

There are signs up in all the pet shops in Bolton saying that if you have a Staffordshire bull terrier the RSPCA will neuter it for free, they even mobile units going into "hot spots" to try to encourage people.

As Don said they are popular with idiots, which results in every shelter in the country being over run with them.

I can't quite figure out why carrying a 3.1" long knife is a criminal offence when having a dog bred for fighting that you have in effect no control over isn't. While I understand a well trained dog is probably not going to eat a childs face off at random, training isn't required by law.

A colleague at my job has two staffs. She has trained and educated them well and consequently and they are really very friendly and forbearing. No problems with children (she has two herself), other pets (own cat, neighbourhood dogs) or people. We have been walking together a few times and I was amazed how well they listen to her commands in contrast to some "easier" dogs I know.

I accept that there are some breeds that are easier to be trained for fighting than others, but, although I am not a dog person, I believe that education and training (not only of the dog) is the more important factor if it comes to overall behavior. As you (Don) stated these dogs seem to be especially popular amongst a certain kind of people - maybe it's not the dogs who needs to get neutered?

A cull would be a far better choice, I imagine that wouldn't go down to well though :P

Yeah , dogs need consistency , and they need to know boundries .

To mant people buy a dog and put in 0 effort to train the dog , maybe the same amount of effort they put into raising children ?

Anyhow , then they wonder why the dog attacks some one or another animal , or why its uncontrollable .

My last dog was a Border collie , and he was near perfect .

I could take him walking of the leash , and he was under 99% control [ you never get 100%] , he would not chase cats or other dogs , and obeyed verbal commands .

Everyone that saw him , when out walking was amazed , but it all came down to training , I put in a fair amount of time gently teacing the dog there was no point in not doing as told .

It took 3 months [ he was a puppy ] but he finally got the idea that what I asked would happen , so he gave up resisting , and after that training him was easy .

Yeah sadly you're dead on there.

I was on the bus on my way home a couple of years ago when a lady got on pushing a pram with a 3-4month old baby in it. She was greeted by a woman who was already on the bus with her two kids they talked loudly at each other for a bit and then the women with the two kids said something I'll never forget.

She said to the lady with the little baby that was lucky because babies were alright, but as soon as they got the age of her kids they were f*cking c*nts....her kids were about 4 and 6years old and certainly hadn't been badly behaved for the 20mins they had been on the bus. The other lady didn't seem at all shocked by that.

Everyone else on the bus was looking at each other wide eyed and unbelieving.
