Thanks a lot , does FandyFire has these kinds of torch?

good version: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1057203

unknown version: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1234300

You are very nice,Thanks !

And in this thread there are various reports of some people getting a light that doesn't match the description, while others got what they paid for. So that leaves us in the same situation: how to know if you're gonna get a good one, or a bad one? It's still just as much a lottery as it always was.

I thought I had read that, when perusing the 3000 srk threads here. So basically unless the seller has opened up the exact light they’re selling to verify then there is no guarantee. You’re either playing the lottery for a $50 SRK or a $36 one.

Well, for my purposes the innards generally don't matter, as I mostly intend to replace all that stuff anyway. But if the innards are junk AND the machining is crappy, they can't even be used as a host for something cool. Old-Lumens ran into the same thing with the light he'd planned to use in a build, too.

Fit & finish is a lot nicer on the UV-S5. The threads are tight. O-rings make contact where they're supposed to. Nice thick lens, stainless bezel. The current version of SRK is the exact opposite: sloppy threads, o-rings that don't even contact the ID of the head, super thin lens, cheap aluminum bezel.

The threads aren’t bad on mine but the bezel is soft aluminum, and the lens looks like it’s waiting to shatter.

Makes me glad I got the FandyFire version. Maybe I got lucky. Usually the other way around. Guess I’m a little strange but I really like the gold color and so does my wife. Wish I had more lights that color.

Yes get the fandyfire good version+1 I have got that version and it’s the bee’s knees it’s a awesome light that is the same as the original srk but with a different name?
I have the other srk from fasttech & it’s absolutely rubbish don’t buy it pay a little extra and get the $45 fandyfire you won’t regret it

Can you share me the with the FandyFire’s link of the torch? The one which you said is the same as the original SRK but with a different name?

If I had a nickel for every SRK I’ve put in a shopping basket and didn’t buy. My thoughts, we consumers need to quit buying their profit margin junk. At this point it’s a game who can make SRK’s the cheapest. Big opportunity here for some vendor to step up and turn the game around with a “wow” version, but it will only happen if we make the junk market fizzle.fo

If you want a wow quality version, might as well got for the original, TM11, or TM15.

Those are the "original" versions.

Then you have the Black Shadow Terminator for less flood flood, more throw. The Fenix TK75 for a whole lot more throw in a completely different form factor.

Or there is also the Zerbralight S6330, which should flood even more than the SRK.

Only problem is, all of these better options are at least two to three times the price of the SRK.

Or Roche M170, $84: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1229600

DRY, as a host only, no driver or LEDs, but only $39: http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1178 (shipping not included; sister site fancyflashlights.com only has the complete version for $59 but free ship)

It is this www.fasttech.com/products/1057203

That’s it.

Uhm wow, that’s nice! Didn’t notice it has XM-L2 leds yet!

It is really a pity that my web can not enter in :_(

Does the “DRY 3xCREE XM-L T6 3x18650 Torch Flashlight Host Kit” and the “DRY 3xCREE XM-L T6 Cool White / Warm Tint 3000-Lumen 3x18650 Hi power Flashlight” have the same quality as the SPK?

I have also been trying to decide which SRK I want…or if do I really want one. Love the size, looks and output. So so quality and lack of medium mode are my biggest complaints.
I know the driver could be changed to fix the mode issues but I don’t know what size it takes and I’ve never modded anything.

I’ve almost talked myself into a DRY about 50 times but its ugly and doesn’t have side switch.
Wonder if the DRY driver would fit a king?

I’m trying to do this on a tight budget so I tend to over research things to the point I almost loose interest lol. Wish I could decide soon I want a new light!

Comfychair or someone should give the Aleto SRK lookalike with a handle a go… A nice looking black alternative. If there is a lottery on the typical black SRK kings in that price range one could just gamble on the Aleto…
