Kaidomain question

Hi,

Earlier today, I ordered a C12 from Kaidomain.com. Everything went fine, but then I checked the order status tonight, and my order is showing “Back-ordered”. When I go to the item page, it doesn’t give any indication that this item is out-of-stock or anything.

Is this “Back-ordered” status normal at Kaidomain? Do you think that this is really out-of-stock, and yet they still took my order (and still show the item as available)?

I think you would need to contact them, to know anything for sure. It's their week-end now, so you probably won't get an answer till Monday.

It may be they don't have stock, but they may be able to get it from their source very quickly. Also, they will show stuff in stock when it is not, just like DX and the rest. They all want the money. they figure they can get the item in a few days, so it's not a concern for them. Different country, different views on selling and shipping, get used to it or be prepared to be frustrated buying from China.

I quit DX for that very reason, but it has happened to me at KD, Fasttech, CNQG and others, it will happen and that's just a fact of dealing with China. DX was the worst. If it showed shippng in 2-4 days, it meant they had it in stock and if it showed 7-10 days, it meant they did not stock it, but ordered from their supplier when someone paid for it. They still do that, others do to.

I thought I read that this weekend was (another) Chinese holiday, to that’ll drag things out even more :(…

Maybe a week or longer. Last order I placed had a item backordered. It took about a week to ship after I sent the inquiry about it. Yours may take longer, who knows.
They will ship the order its just a matter of when. I had much rather order from KD than DX any day of the week. I have had several problems out of DX. I had one order at DX that sat for almost a year on the backordered status, they finally just gave me credit after I had to inquire. I have to admit I was testing them just to see if they would ever say (almost a full year) anything with that backordered item, they did nothing until I inquired. KD has always keep me informed and are easier to deal with if theirs a problem.
If its something that you can wait on, give’em a week or two it should ship.

Yes. I was angry with DX on that issue also. Have some patience when dealing with these company. Else, just buy from reliable source.

A bit of a different situation but its with Kaidomain so rather than starting a new thread I thought I would comment here.

I bought a UF-T1 (Ultrafire AAA “Titanium” flashlight) and the LED isn’t centered in the reflector, so I took a macro picture of it and sent them an email to see what they had to say and all their response was: “From the picture, we have not see the obvious problem that the led is not centred, maybe it is a little off center, please don’t worry, it is normal and will not affect the use.”

There goes any future business they could have had from me…

I recently ordered a bunch of KD's "coated glass lenses" and they took about a week before they shipped them out. I ordered a light from DX the next day and it also took a week to get shipped out. "Back-ordered" is KD's normal status meaning "acquiring products and preparing shipment". I do believe they are acquiring from manufacturers / vendors and don't have the items on hand (well not all items on hand at least).
