A friend updated his Facebook page, and for the first time in my life I clicked a Facebook ad. Well, it was for a super torch, so it would have been rude of me not to.
What a bargain! 50% off. It’s dead bright, and even comes with a free charger & battery - worth $23!!!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I laughed. I cried.
At first glance, I thought surely this must be a T6 running a 18650. I mean, you could melt butter with that beamshot. But wait! A Q5? Surely something is amiss.
23 USD?
Come on, this 5USD torch with worthless battery and 2USD(if anything) charger?
And these sipiks can be get under 4 in US when RALLY discounted.
So only about 1000% rabat after discount, not bad, the HEIDER logo is definitely worth it. It has “SUPER POWER” after all.
I see plenty of this style flashlight on all of those cheap Chinese flashlight websites… but I’ve never come across a review on BLF or CPF where everyone is raving about it. And none of the mainstream reputable flashlight brands carry one of them. Is the design inherently poor, resulting in a drastically reduced brightness and/or low quality beam pattern all for the ability to focus the beam?
I´ve only clicked like…. ONE facebook ad in my life. Well, the FIRST I´ve ever clicked was an ad for the Heider Torch. Till then, I was no flashaholic, but I started to google and found sooo many info and pages about the Sipik SK68 and, of course, this forum. I ordered from DX and BAM, addicted.
Worst thing is that the included Li-ion battery is not even protected. So for non-flashaholic (does not know’s how to handle Li-ion) it’s usable for just one time till it is drained under recommended voltage - 2,5V (SK68/Heider also works with AA rechargable, so it should drain the Li-ion to 1,2V at least). After that, it becomes dangerous to recharge.
