Dino Direct coupons

I signed up with Dino Direct a few days back, browsed around, added a few things to my shopping cart, then left.

A day later I get an e-mail saying thanks for joining and “here’s a coupon for $2 off!” Well, I go to use the coupon and it’s only $1 off. Weird. Anyway, I clear out the cart and a day later, I come back and add a few different items totally just over $40. Again, I wasn’t quite ready to buy yet so I left the cart as-is and left the website.

About 12 hours later, I get an e-mail with an offer for 12% off my order. OK, now you’re talking! So I go to use the coupon… “EXPIRED.” What gives?

UPDATE: Well, I tried their customer service chat and they were responsive, able to give me a revised coupon that seems to work. So, I’m going to place an order and hopefully the experience will be positive.

It’s all just part of their charm. Embrace it.

Any savings in price is not worth dealing with such an unethical merchant. Avoid!

^ I know… so much for “free shipping”. If you want tracking you have to pay extra. And you kind of have to, because if you never get your item they can simply say “told you so—we’re not responsible without tracking”… and probably never even bother to send the package. Anyway, they had one flashlight that I really wanted to get that was priced 40% higher everywhere else I’d checked… so I figured I’d take a chance. It’ll be my first purchase and maybe not my last if all goes well.

But the little Dino is so sweet…

Cheap tricks are nothing at all new from DD dinodirect… they consider you as just another stupid customer to take advantage of. Many of us have been burned. Even blf member “summer” (from DD sales) lies through her teeth when asked to correct their own mistakes or fess up to blatant false advertising. As a percentage, more paypal disputes have been created and won against DD than any other merchant I have ever dealt with. They wont get another cent from me.

FP recommendation: AVOID DINODIRECT LIKE AVOIDING THE EBOLA VIRUS! If it looks like poop & smells like poop, then it probably is…

DD if youre reading, the truth will always come back to bite you. People have learned about your unethical business practices and will buy elsewhere.

I bought a portable lithium fan from dinodirect because no where else does any other seller have the fan in stock.
It’s over 3 weeks now, which is the longest wait time I experienced with products from Hong Kong/China.
I’m going to wait pass a month before I file a claim with Paypal, which I’ve never needed to do.

Shipping time depends on the shipping company and which shipping option you have taken and sometimes I even don’t know the reason….I guess you choosed without tracking so some weeks more is just normal… This can happen even with the best companies

I have bought some things for good prices(colored sipik sk68 for 7$)and I liked that this shop is something different(free gifts with Dino’s on them, gift wrapping option from hot chicks, VIP club…)
The most things are overpriced and if you buy without a coupon you pay even more…that’s dumb and so I am not going to buy from them for now.
There was a thread from DD which offered 20% for every purchase for BLF members sadly it got deleted because of all the angry haters here.

^ 20% off is certainly attractive, but not so much if you don’t get good service. And who knows… since it was so quick and easy for them to activate a code for me, maybe I should have held out a bit more and asked for 20% off instead of 12%.

Shipping from China can be quick or slow, depending on the luck of the draw on the carrier chosen and what happens at customs. Large containers are often sent with a bulk of purchases. If it gets held up for some reason, a lot of people end up affected. But then, some vendors seem to have faster channels on a more regular basis. I’ve seen more happy threads than complaints about deliveries from FastTech. I ordered a few items and it took 2 weeks, whereas I saw someone else got their items in just 1 week.

The longest delay I ever experienced with shipping from China was 25 days, buying from ThruNite. They used Singapore Post. Tracking showed the destination country as GB when it should be US. I was concerned that my item got shipped to the wrong address and ThruNite was difficult to work with (slow and weak English comprehension). The tracking number I was given showed delivery was complete in GB when I hadn’t received anything, and this went on for 2 weeks. I think they screwed up the tracking number. They later told me that my item was on its way and to be “patient”. The number I was given was never updated by Singapore Post, so I think ThruNite figured out the proper one but wouldn’t bother tell me it. Thankfully my item arrived, but I won’t be buying from them again.

ugh… i rather pay little bit extra for peace of mind… like Fasttech.com… they have been excellent with their customer service, very prompt delivery and best of all… no drama

AVOID

My order with them was placed on 4/30, which is a Tuesday. It took until 05/04 for them to have everything packed up (just 2 items) and ready for shipping. But it wasn’t until 05/08 that China Post actually accepted the package, then shipped it out on 05/09. In contrast, FastTech will take your order and have your package out the door in 12-48 hours depending upon inventory status.

Okay. My li-on fan arrived a few days ago, which is exactly what I ordered. It took more than a month. If I find something that only Dino has, I’ll order again.

My package arrived on 5/24. So yeah, just about 3.5 weeks but it could’ve been more like 2.5 weeks if their fulfillment moved a little faster. Tracking was bizarre, as it had my package going back and forth between a few different cities before getting on a plane from Germany to the USA.

Oh, and the light I bought has some quality issues (which is the maker’s fault, not Dino). Still, Dino doesn’t provide very good packaging and the flashlight box was crushed. I won’t buy from them again UNLESS they have something I absolutely must have and nobody else carries it.
