The Close-Enough-to-3,000-Post L2i Giveaway Backpacker Light wins! contest over

I was going to wait until post number 3,000 for this but, I choose instead to do it now. Next Friday, 5-17-13 at a time convenient to me (probably in the evening, after the Foyshower) I will select a number using Random.org and give this fine little flashlight to someone willing to accept it, shipping on me, anywhere on the planet. (assuming standard/reasonable rates)

The light is an all-time Foyfavorite, the long discontinued Solarforce L2i in classic black. It will arrive with a neutral white, 3-mode XM-L/T6 drop-in from Int'l Outdoor Store . . .

It is in fact, the one in the middle. Brass pill, copper base, SMO and a 2.7 - 4.5 working voltage . . .

It is smartly accessorized with an also discontinued, authentic slim-line series Foybezel™ in lightly polished brushed aluminum . . .

Depending on shipping regulations and/or country of destination, light shall be loaded with a fully charged, unprotected Panasonic 18650 CRG. To prevent possible battery movement, light is specially equipped with a professionally sized O-ring, hand picked by Foy himself . . .

Installed a few mm up from the negative end, 18650 cell is centered perfectly with absolutely no rattle. Orange O-ring on tail cap is expertly lubed and light sports a tasteful black boot . . .

Here it is on the right of the first L2i I ordered. Solarforce called it "gray" I think and it is Foycherished. Mr. Silver at far left was stripped nude with Greased Lightning and then lightly polished semi-buff.

Here it is on 5-17-11 with its original strike bezel made brushed aluminum smooth.

This flashlight is in nearly new condition. It was my EDC for a while however and the edges on some of the anti-roll flats around the base have rubbed to metal very slightly. It functions flawlessly and the 3C tint is gorgeous.

You don't have to know me long to understand the affection Foy has for the L2i. Out of production for nearly two years, this versatile host allows multiple battery options, accepts any P60 module and has some of the best knurling in the business. This is not an unloved torch that leaves the Foycollection simply because it is valued the least. My hope is, the winner will be as proud to own and use it as I was.

Just post, saying anything. (or nothing) If your post number is selected, I send you this light. The idea of someone joining just to be in the contest bothers me so, eligible participants must be registered members of BLF on or before today's date, 5-10-13.
