XTAR 18700 Li-Ions group-buy (Status in 2nd Post)

Its going to be hard to get 50 of the 2400 sold when the 2600 is only $1 more. I'm not in as I just bought 4 otherwise I would have been keen.

I'll buy XTAR 18700 2600mAh at price 13.50 USD/pair inc. shipment: I'll take 5 packs (10 batteries) = $67.50

Its actually only saving me $0.75 from their wholesale site so Im not exactly thrilled. I think they could (and should) do much better in reducing prices for us. Either way, Im in need for a few more or these.

Let me know if its a go.

Thanks!

The 2400's seem like the way to go since the 2600's barely have more capacity in Matt's tests. But I'm already in good shape with my stock of 18650's (8 of them) with a pair of LMR's on the way.

They might change their price lately. Currently wholesale price is 12.99 USD without shippment. Can you recall what was the price last week?

$52.50 / 5 = $10.50

Good catch! They jacked their price up $2.49/pair in one weeks time. Sorry, but thats just a friggen rip-off. If this group purchase doesnt go through, I definitely wont be doing business with this vendor now or any time in the future. Thank you for your efforts though.

Weird, however these are much better deal than any trustSomething out there for the price.

XTAR 18700 2600mAh at price 13.50 USD/pair inc. shippment is a good deal in my book for a pair.

The 2400 are also worth considering.

At less than 7usd a piece you get a really nice protected 18700...

Only 2600's for me. The Sanyo brand (made in Japan) boasts renowned ISO certification, reputable construction, quality control and longevity. I would expect these to be far more reliable, safer when pushed to its 2C limit and last for several more charge cycles over time. Think: Mercedes vs. questionable Hyundai. Does anyone have any idea who manufacturers the 2400's?

I agree... if the deal goes through.

I haven't voted, but I would take a pair of one or the other (not both) for those prices. I think the reviews said they would fit pretty much any modern light that takes 18650 and they are only 3-4 more than the fire labled Trustfires.

It's easyer to count if you do wote ;-), but I'll try keep in mind.

What do you folks generaly think about pricing?

Well, I picked the 2600 since that is the most popular so far and they are Sanyo based.

Is XTAR the only company that makes 18700 batteries?

Do they fit in most 18650 lights? I was unfamiliar with this battery until I read this thread and did a little Googling on it.

XTAR make 18650 protected batteries. They just opted to call them 18700 since they are longer by a few mm. Other manufacturers simply say protected 18650 and don't care if they make a cell longer 4mm by size.

It's actually clever from XTAR. At least no1 would complain the 68,5mm long batteries were too long for use in some poor flashlights.

These are just like trusfire flame 18650 protected perhaps 1mm longer... (size wise)

Come on folks, lets get in on these great deals! PLEASE DO VOTE.

I think the $13.50 price for a pair of Sanyo 2600's is a very good price and Id like to see our members (especially the ones with MCE, XML or P7) buy into these. As mentioned, I'll take 5 packs right off the bat if we can get the rep to live up to all the hype they've already left on this forum. If not, its just more hot air from a floundering vendor that sends us packing back to their competition.

I'm in. Wanted a pair of these Sanyo cells for quite some time now. I voted for 1 pair of 2600 mAh cells. Buy, people!

Would join but i'm pretty well stocked atm.

Perhaps if i suddenly need 10 units soon i'll join. (Some cyclists just might kick in')

The poll looks prommising. ATM 45% of you are voting for 2600mAh version, very few for 2400. I've tried to agreed even better price as I think I saw retail price of an 2600mAh lower than 15 USD last week, but couldn't check it as their site wasn't responsive then (at least for me).

Keep going......

A pair of Sanyo cells with protection ? and the price is too high ? [ I meant the Xtar 2600's = sorry ]

Hmmm , Check this out , possibly one of the better Sanyo buys [ as a comparison ]

If I didnt already have some ... [ again Xtar 2600 ] Got the flue , my head hurts , and thinking ATM is hard ..

Ahhh , that's because it includes the case

This google cache leaves a bitter after-taste, but the price is still good. I will take a pair.
