Not sure if an emitter swap is hard-core… But on a second thought. I could probably have done 30+ emitter swaps in the time it took me to do this single one. So, emitter swap, done the hard-core way.
When that is said, now that I have gained some knowledge and skills. If I were to do another one of these, it would probably take me 1/5th of the time…
