Has anyone tried out the RUSTU R130?

Spotted this one over on DX: RUSTU R130. It’s your garden variety driven 5-mode, but in a rather nicely styled McGizmo inspired design. XM-L T6 emitter, but no indication of actual bin (although qualified by “cool white”). I like the steel ring on the back, kind of like a secondary bezel. Seems to be reasonably priced ($22 atm), although I suspect the 700lm claim is a bit over the top.

Only thing I would be worried about would be the clip attachment. Half of the budget lights that I have had that the clip is attached this way was misaligned or had stripped screws. Other than that looks like a reasonably well built light.

But... I have this in NW and Love it

I think BLF might work as a coupon code.

Up to you!

i dislike anything carrying the word rust, however i assume the word means little in this context

I recall reading about screw issues on one other light… didn’t know it was a fairly widespread problem. The Chinese brands keep coming up with strange names like “Rustu” and “Tangspower”… it’s becoming confusing as to who makes what and where the quality is. I’ve not looked into Crelant before; perhaps it’s time to check them out. Not sure about the V31A, as it’s only about $6 cheaper than an Olight S10 off of eBay, and I’d probably go for having a spare S10. It’s the most fantastic mini 16340/CR123 light I’ve seen yet.

Yeah Bort, “RUSTU” is weird. “Rust University?” “RUssian STUart”? Sometimes it’s a phonetic translation for some Chinese word with a meaning totally different than what we’d expect.
