IS Promotions: Rayus C01 / PT10 Series Intro [8/28]

My sales rep for Nitecore told me they will be shipping out the Grey SRT 7 tomorrow. I have yet to receive a ship notice from Zebralight. The only thing from our list of orders that we have received from them recently, are some 18650s :( I believe the ZL 14500s are already on their way.

Tint perhaps

Bingo.

Heh, at this rate I'll see the Nitecore before the zebralight. Hopefully ZL gets their act together.

Yes I know it’s about the tint, but I thought the XM-L2 U2 tint was better, many like EagleTac are using it on their newer lights (XM-L2 U2).

I agree, the short vid is a real blessing and covered most all of the pertinent information in a superb fashion. I cant tell you how frustrating it is to listen to someone yammer on and on about a flashlight for 10-50 minutes. Complex aircraft flight deck introductions are shorter and infinitely more interesting!

On a lighter note, thanks for covering all the important features of an innovative new flashlight. Good job!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, though I think I may have skipped some things and spoke too quickly in some areas.

ZebraLight still hasn't given me a shipping notice which means it's time to email them again about our backordered items. In case people are wondering, we DID pre-order the SC52Ws and our general coupon code will cover it. What I find exciting is that ZebraLight has listed the SC52w as having a XM-L2 Neutral White 4400k!

Will you get the H600W too?

The H600W is also being restocked. Waiting on Zebralight.

The Grey SRT7 will be shipping out on Monday! Since we now have both models in stock, the "SRT7" Promotion code is now active. And for obvious reasons I will not be writing the discount in plain text. If you pre-ordered before this promotion, please email calvin@illuminationsupply.com with your order number for a retroactive refund. I apologize for the extra work but it will be the easiest way for us to find your orders.

When you say monday, you mean today right? :D

Yup! In stock and shipping. Nitecore also assures me that no one in China or Hong Kong has these lights available yet. They have NOT sold them to their local market and won't be for a period of time.

In other good news, we got a ship notice from Zebralight, a batch of SC600MKIIs are inbound!

Order placed, and my wallet is not as angry as usually

Thanks for helping me save a few bucks!

Will this ship out tomorrow? Might have a chance to get it for the weekend then

Orders will likely be going out tomorrow morning.

Any chance that shipment will include any Zebralight ZL584 840mAh 14500 batteries?

Zebralight told us the 14500s are being shipped from China, I don't have a tracking number for it yet unfortunately.

Thanks for the quick response. Great timing too, I have some in my IS shopping cart.

Yeah….hopefully we’ll get them soon then

Just got a ship notice, 14500s are inbound via DHL from China.

What's annoying is that the inbound SC600MKIIs are only a partial shipment. We're still missing the bulk of our SC600MKII orders. What makes us even MORE confused is that the Zebralight website says that the SC600MKIIs are in stock. If this is true, where are the rest of our SC600MKIIs? ZebraLight emailed us today and said that they would ship out another batch of our SC600MKIIs next week as well.

I received the SRT7 today, and it is in one way a A Big Letdown.

Overall it is a good flashlight, however it is also a HUGE letdown in the area where I expected it to literally shine given the LED options out there.

What's the problem?

The Color LEDs are weak.

If you are already an owner of a dedicated Green, Blue, or Red flashlights/phatlights, the output of the LEDs from this flashlight will disappoint you.

Further the police strobe is NOT a true emergency strobe. It is NOT a fast cycle of alternating red and blue, instead it is a strobe of Red followed by Blue. I can't speak for countries outside the US, but the police vehicles I am familiar with use a red/blue strobe that continuously alternate. I guess for someone not familiar with this, it would still be rather impressive.

Two further criticisms;

  • The light has one main tailcap switch. There is no magnetic ring controlled only standby mode. It would have been great if the magnetic ring modes started off in "standby" instead of beacon mode.
  • The lowest setting is fairly bright. It is nowhere as low as the sub 1 lumen zebralights, or armytek.

All of that said, I do think the SRT7 is a great light, and in terms of quality easily on par, and surpassing it's competitors. I'm certainly very glad I waited for the Military Grey coating.

While I don't think this will be an EDC light, it is certainly worth adding to the collection.

Hi infinitusequitas,

I'm sorry you're disappointed in the flashlight. I tried to demonstrate all the modes and relative brightness in the video I posted earlier in this thread. I believe I stated that the lowest available output on the "infinite adjustable mode" was close to the low mode on the EA8. A quick note, I believe the standby mode is the notch after red.

Regards,
Calvin
