FLEX Asgard @ Fasttech

Heh…yeah it is. Actually all the preproduction samples have the same serial number on the outside due to an error by the factory. Inside the driver itself (much like the VIN on a car being on the engine block) the firmware has the real serial number. In the case of mine, it truly is the first one ever made.

Ok, thanks… I got it :)…

Congrats on the first ever JohnnyMac!

The app interface looks good, easy to use! There’s even temperature sensor in the light! I suppose the Fahrenheit could be changed to Celsius?

Not sure about Celcius. This isn’t the final version and they are making some last minute changes as we speak based on feedback I’ve already given them. I will try and find out. If not available initially, it could easily be added in an update to the software app.

Thanks for the sneak peek JohnnyMac. Interface is looking good from here.

Not that it affects functionality or anything but it says “Disonnect.” Lol.

LOL. It says “disconnect” because I was connected at the time. If I wasnt connected it would say “connect”. That button establishes or breaks the BT connection with the light.

i think he was pointing out the typo in “Disonnect”

ROFL! I noticed that when I first loaded then completely forgot it said that. I had better contact them again and make them aware.

Typo noted and it has been fixed :). Sorry for that.

You can switch to celsius mode by simply taping the temperature reading. The app memorizes this preference as well.

Jasmine

This. I was just popping on to says the same things. but you beat me to it, Jasmine. Jasmine, check your PM about something else I’m seeing.

beamshots?

Taking some tonight.

Sweet! Looking forward to those.
Think you could take some beamshots comparing the ZY-T08 and Asgard side-by-side?

Any ETA on the first Reviews ?? Ist there a NDA till xx.xx.xxx ?

Could you test to see how short you can make it blink? For example, set it to max output for 1/960th of a second then off for 39/960ths of a second, then repeat. It should result in a nice 24Hz true strobe. I’d like to know just how small those time slices can be, to see if it can be used for freezing objects in motion and such.

Planning on it

Hopefully one of the upcoming models will be something like 4x 26650, MT-G2, & 90+mm reflector... :p

4P 18650 side switch, mtg2. and im in for at least 2. If they want to be really nice, a handle.

Everyone,

We’re working with the reviewers on some last minute changes/fixes. Some great improvements have been done thanks to early feedback from JohnnyMac. the and Foy are still playing with the app and I’m sure they will come up with more feedback soon.

Some of the great stuffs include a slick “hidden” Bluetooth mode trigger, programmable mode memory on/off switch, a “sub-moonlight” mode, etc. There were also assembly issues such as reflectors scratched by our devs while they were “playing” with the prototypes before sending them out. These upgrades resulted a lot of code changes, so we’re going to send the reviewers a new set of hardware. They will be sent within next week and the reviewers will get these new hardware within the week.

The reviewers agreed that it is pointless to review a product that is different from what are sold. As such, they might release limited first-impression reviews and full reviews will arrive as soon as the new hardware delivers, in a few days.

Thanks everyone.

Jasmine

I appreciate the transparency regarding the review process. Thanks for keeping all of us in the loop.
