Crelant Flashlights From FastTech Warranty Info And Authenticity

Maybe part of the equation is that Crelant new website now has an online store with some discount and free shipping (over 50usd), so they didn't like the idea of fighting for low prices against other webstores...

It looks to me that lately not so many international webstores carry Crelant, and the ones that appears to carry them are selling only the older models (pre xm-l2).

Even IO had a great assortment a few months ago and now has one light only.

Well I was a huge Crelant fan. Not anymore. I am a huge FastTech fan. And I am a huge FastTech customer. Just ask them. They got my full support on this shannagin that was pulled here in another thread. All it did was piss several folks off here including me.

kind of sucks that this had to blow up in madecov's thread. he is a good guy to deal with

I’ll probably buy from all the above ’cause I really don’t care about MAP and can see both sides of the issue. There is way too much drama here and if this ruins your day you seriously need to see a shrink…seriously.

I would also suggest all manufacturers, distributors and retailers keep their disagreements and what should be private discussions OUT of the public realm. You all look like idiots for airing your dirty laundry here on BLF…just sayin’.

Well I got nothing against Mark. But at the same time I hate to see others lose out on great prices as well. The way I look at it is if I pay $100 for a light, and you buy the exact same one for $60, you got the better deal. I’ll be damned if I’m gonna take it out on you. It’s not your fault.

He could be a good guy (I don't know him) but sure he wasn't happy about the prices FT was advertising on the same lights he sells...

As I said in that thread, the irony is that the person that did the most damage to MD was Liping (Crelant)! She did not need to start making accusations like that, especially when you see Fasttech’s reply.

Marc.

+1 well said.

FastTech was in fact slandered in that thread. They had no choice but to respond. I know I would as well.

They were being slapped and had false accusations against them. And no matter what the bs of all that brought all this about nobody deserves that crap.

actually, that brings up a good idea. all these chinese lights with MAP, they should stop having distributing them to resellers, and start their own online store. that way they can see the results. if they go with a high profit margin per light (im guessing their MAP is more than 300% what the light costs to manufacture) they will sell less. if they go with a lower profit per light, they will sell a lot more lights. that will be a higher overall profit, and more word of mouth about people talking about their new light they got at a great price.

Like I said, it don’t take a guy with much of an IQ to figure this one out.

For some Reason Chicago X is putting a lot of the blame at my door! :~ I joined an already trashed thread, to read accusations leveled at Fasttech from Crelant. So I responded with my thoughts on what I thought was bullying.

Marc.

I agree, they have the right to enforce their MAP policies against my wallet and I have the right to not buy their products anymore, simple.

What they don’t understand is that Fasttech would still be here selling their competitors lights much cheaper than theirs…

By the way, it’s only the last month that I returned to the hobby of “flashlighting” and I have never ordered from Fasttech. But from all the positive feedback I read about them, they will soon hear from me :santa:

Nevermind him. You did nothing wrong.

One of the best companies I have done business with period. They have yet to lie to me. And when you do have a problem, they correct it and will even let others on their website know about it just like they did when they sold me a underdriven HD2010 flashlight. It was’nt their fault. But I let them know about it. I sent mine back for a full refund and they covered so much of my shipping. And they posted it publicly for all to see so they would know. They also contacted their supplier about the weak driven lights that they had. I respect that. A lot of companies would have just kept selling them as is and not said a word.

My loyalties here lie with the members of BLF not any one retailer. This is not CPF, we like deals. Especially on our side of the pond where it is difficult to buy anything at a reasonable price. So when I see someone like Crelant doing this, which in turn cuts down our chance of getting good value lights, then it p!sses me off.

Now if the thread had stayed as a sales thread and non of the ridiculous comments had already been made, then I would have stayed away and kept shut.

Exactly.

I always said the truth shall set you free.

Those that can’t handle or admit the truth well that is their damn problem and not ours.

The way I look at it is not only did Vivian at Crelant throw out false accusations about FastTech but they hurt FastTechs pocket book as well by disrupting the sell of FastTech selling the Crelant lights at the prices they had them marked at. Now I can tell you FastTech was’nt in businesss to give these dang lights away. Now anyone can say what they want about that other thread and how it was disrupted by somone posting about the Crelant 7G9 XM-L2 for like $80 shipped from FastTech. And I too admit that was’nt the right thing to do there in that sellers thread. And that post I am sure was deleted by the person that posted it. But what was said later on in that thread by Vivian was totally uncalled for and way worst than what the other guy did.

I think they should learn to speak English before they go throwing the hand grenade into the outhouse.
