5xC cells is a bit longer than 4D. A D cell is a tad shorter than an 18650 cell.
I reckon 4x18650 can be coerced into this club especially if the stock springs are lengthy.

2x 18650 = 8.4V
3x 18650 = 12.6V
4x 18650 = 16.8V
Anybody knows the max V rating for the driver?
Just from the photo, the body tube looks to be a larger diameter than the 3C. I hope it's not. Knowing my HD, they will have it hidden up in the top shelves somewhere. I will have to go see if there are any. Well, maybe not. I don't have any 3C anyhow, so it would just be wishful thinking... What's that UPC code again?

More lumens but much less throw than the DST. Hmm….
Not enough increase in lumens to really see with your eye though. Probably more comparable to the black Friday 3C with the smaller head.

Would be cool if they can hold 26650’s (diameter wise) and fit the DST. Checked my HD, not out yet. Will probably languish up in the racks for the summer months at least.
35 at my home depot, I will try to make it out there tonight.
Remember, we went through this with the DST, if there is exactly 35 in inventory it could mean that they are not yet on the floor. Stores with <35 probably have them on display and have already sold some.
And those poor Home Depot employees are probably thinking, "Oh No! Here we go again with those crazy flashaholics!"

Yeah, they couldn't find any at my HD, but I do see one with 34 in stock that is a bit further away, I may try to go there tomorrow.

Yeah, I just got one. First impressions are that it is not very mod friendly, I can easily access the LED, reflector, and lens, but so far I have been unsuccesful in getting to the driver.
scaru, can you confirm any Lego-ability between this and the ST?
