Hello, All the BLF members,
This is Kevin from Aurabuy.com. This Monday I found Mr. Admin listed Aurabuy as avoid list and I also found this thread. I have to say I was shocked after knowing this.
We did a research inside our company due to this event. I was surprised to find that some employees created a lot accounts in BLF in order to reach their KPI goal. They pretended to be happy customers to get more attention for aurabuy, resulting in violation of rules of BLF. It had a really bad influence on Mr. Admin and most members of BLF.
We are really sorry for those mistakes we made. We have totally realized the seriousness of this stupid mistake and sincerely write this apology letter to beg your forgiveness. We promise that we will never do it again and sorry for any inconvenience and trouble we caused. We will try our best to make it up and work harder to improve our product quality and customer service in the future.
Besides, I have demanded our employees to list all the spam accounts that they have registered, I will send the list to Mr. admin and tell him to delete all these accounts.
Finally, we sincerely beg for your forgiveness. If you have any questions or suggestions with us, please send e-mail to hexc@aurabuy.com
Best regards,
Kevin
AuraBuy offer the brightest led flashlights at lowest price.
sorry too!!
Never knew they have fake accounts here. Anywhere thanks for the notice.
hi Kevin, apart from stopping spamming BLF, could you please also check your website for malware, I keep getting warnings (even via BLF, annoying) about 'suspicious site, this and that baddy found etc.' Easy to buy a viruschecker I'd say.

What about some small apology gifts?
Hi Kevin! I appreciate the apology and explanation. Thank you!
djozz, what software are you using?
So Mr. Lee, please discipline your men and hope you will be forgiven.
Wow, shipped with a missing lens!
Strangely enough it happens when I go to the BLF-site at work (oops, now you know
), I get this message from the local school network software, not sure what software that is exactly (I'm not into computers much):

Everyone does it!
It might be Sophos. Well, searching for “mal/htmlgen-a” turns up lots of Sophos results.
Actually, i’m pretty sure that he said that he couldn’t remember whether he had mislaid the Lens or whether it was not there to start with. But regardless he was shipped 2 replacements without question. That to me is the WOW. Good Service
Damn Addictions
You are correct Toph

it goes a bit beyond just a “violation of rules” imo.

These 'happy customers' weren't selling items, but rather promoting the company. This hints at a corporate culture of deception and management approval.
I'm not sure this 'apology' passes the sniff test.
This is the third "beg for the forgiveness" thread seen in the last several months, from as many vendors...anyone see a pattern ?
There are many hard-working vendors who choose to NOT deceive their customers...I personally choose to support them with my heard-earned cash.

I’m not buying it. Actions speak louder than words. Anyone can sit down & type an apology. There’s no real atonement. The only thing this thread proves to me? You’re sorry that you got caught, nothing more.

Here is my take on all this shill business;
It is the world we live in.
There is a whole new industry of fake “Likes” , Reviews, Comparisons, etc. promoting products/services/stores/brands.
There is also a newer industry of attempting to squash negative Reviews/Comparisons or at least knock them down in relativity on the popular search engines. People get paid to do these things, some of those people work in house, others are outsourced. Anytime you put people on a pay scale that depends on “Productivity” you get shortcuts/cheats etc. Nature of the beast.
This is not unique to the flashlight industry. Bogus book and movie reviews have been going on for decades. Car reviews, same thing. The list goes on.
As my father told me at a young age “Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear” , Now of course this was before the invention of CGI, so now it should read “Believe nothing of what you see and none of what you hear”
My sniff test on any of these smaller China companies is this;
Do they ship the product that they claim to have in stock?
If yes, is it shipped in a timely manner with Tracking available?
If yes, do they respond to legitimate questions before and after the sale?
And most importantly, do they stand behind their products and try to fix problems when the arise?
If they do all these things, then they deserve and will get my repeat business, shill or no shills.
Aurabuy passes all these criteria and I could not be happier than to have received my Jacobs A60 on time, in great shape and it actually says Jacobs on it, unlike the DX model which took 7 weeks to receive and had bad threads. But it did operate and I was glad to at least get one as everyone else seemed to run out of them at that time.
Also got 3 of the Ultrafire C8’s that they had for like $7.99, all work fine and got here quick.
Lastly, the whole “Banned” thing doesn’t seem to do squat.
Wallbuy’s is more popular now than before they pulled their crap. It anything it seems to have helped them.And they do suck when it comes to after sale service and just being able to understand what the heck they are trying to say. I have pretty much given up on them unfortunately.
That’s it for this Rant, we now return you to your perfect Wednesday

Although it is annoying to see such deed but to me as long as they give me exactly what I pay for plus satisfying service quality then I will still order from them.

now that you're mentioning it, .. kinda true and amusing. too many beg for forgiveness threads. foul, they stink.
How about some discounts? Aye aye
I have an expression, talk is cheap, and businesses (often) make it even cheaper.
An apology is nice but if its not meant then its even lower then saying nothing, and in this case we cannot easily determine if it is meant

This field of study will just keep winning, and we knew that all the best people would want to be on board. I’ve said it (or at least thought it) before: Man, you all are a really tough audience :)!
Seriously though, with the caveat that I haven’t been here very long (relatively) to maybe encounter some of what happened, but, to me, at least he (Kevin) tried.
I am not saying everything is ok and hunky-dory, but I am suggesting that should be enough to garner a “wait and see”.
“Actions speak louder than words”, so let’s see how he/they do from here?
Just my opinion…

O now, don’t worry mr. Kevin, I am sure that we can work this out somehow, here is what I recommend
SRK -> $15
ZY-T13 -> $13
Olight i3S EOS – > $12
PALIGHT HXM900 -> $14
PALIGHT A8-X960 -> $16
HD2010 – > $16
ZY-T08 – >$15
allow me the choice of (at least) 3 lights with this prices and ALL is forgotten ;D
One point in his favour is that Kevin did admit it was his own employees. Many would have just denied it, or blamed someone else, if they bothered to respond at all.
He could demonstrate his good intentions by providing a discount on some popular lights, or providing some kind of deal we would like. In other words, actions speak louder than words. Are you listening Kevin, or am I being too subtle?

deja vu
China is a very ruthless and lawless country from a business and other perspectives, and there is a lot of internal competition. It’s hard to accommodate Western sensibilities, but if they are trying I can’t realistically expect perfection.
I bought a few sale items from Aurabuy, and the prices were low, the quality was better than could be expected for the price, and the shipping was fast…10 days I think. My actual cash outlay including shipping was insignificant.
That’s three points in the plus column.
Anyway, the man is taking full responsibility for his employees and offering a very humble apology… that should count for something.
Personally, I like having a few good vendors, as they offer a different array of products.
I’m pretty indifferent, they had a light I wanted, in stock when no one else did, it arrived well protected in good condition.
I think I’m capable of making my own purchase decisions without listening to someone with one or two posts telling me a spurious light is the mutts nutts.
I appreciate the apology but will allow actions to speak rather than a few words, for the record, I’ve not even logged into aurabuys site since receiving my only purchase, simply because I found the website clunky and the overall shopping experience much worse than some of our other supliers, they were simply a means to acquire an uncommon host that no one else seemed to have available.
