Hi. I notice that Fasttech doesn’t carry Fenix lights anymore :_( . I was looking at the TK75 page in particular and it stated:
This product is no longer available: the manufacturer claims that FastTech did not comply to minimum advertised price (MAP) while prior to listing, FastTech was never informed of any MAP policy/agreement from the manufacturer’s official distributors. We are no longer carrying this product due to unclear distribution policies and requirements.
Is this old news or something recent? I’m kind of disappointed.
I see that all the Olight listings at FastTech are now "out-of-stock" as well....with a MAP disclosure. At this rate, within a month, their inventory will consist only of ecigarettes and keychains !
Why can't FT just leave the price unshown and only viewable in the cart like places like NewEgg do?? Or just list the MAP prices and state additional reductions with "PRICECONTROL" code in cart? m It's not hard to do and it wouldhelp them keep a ton of sales for themselves and keep the manufacturers happy as well. Sure glad I bought my Jetbeam RRT01 and Nitecore EC1 when I did. They will probably be next. This really sucks for us, the buyers. :(
I’ve been looking at a few brand lights but tbh, they just dont interest me the way building my own does, a boycott is very easy with that standpoint. My list for now is :-
Why don’t you guys come up with some kind of ‘boycott thread’ for each manufacturer you’re upset with and then have people “sign” it digitally. Then after a few hundred (or a few thousand) members sign it… Send the link over to the manufacturer.
Then they can take a look at how many people they’ve made angry with their business practices and perhaps they’ll want to re-evaluate their strategies.
So it’s no more new Fenix, Crelant, and NiteCore lights for me. I use the word new due to the fact I can’t turn down a great deal if I find one used and somebody needs some money for help. I like helping folks out that save me money like on ebay. LOL!
