i search for this item last night and there’re a lot available with bidding format. however the winning price seems always above $35…and one of the seller ID is from banggood.com, the bobo-something…
If the ads have been pulled, you can file. Generally, they know something is up when they pull the ads and you should get a refund right away. At least, that is how it has worked for me when I have made these types of purchases.
that one in your link was a Scam.
I did buy the light, but from a legitimate seller and it cost 50 bucks average.
i posted a topic on it here: > Skyray Kung M4 ( 4 XM-L emitters !
One of the dead giveaways on this scam and others is the “private” listing on the feedback. There will be all but a few “Private” feedback and if the people do say thanks it’s thanks for the jewelry or something like that. One of the ways people build feedback it to sell cheap trinkets they might even ship out a hundred of them over a couple years.
I normally would think that’s it’s no big deal to buy these just in case they are for real but the more I think about it the more I realize just how uncool it is. These people do make off with the money. They mark the product shipped and if people don’t file right away they do manage to withdraw the money from paypal. So although you get money back from paypal they did make off with it. They take the money and run. So the money you get back isn’t your money it’s money that everyone pays in paypal fees.
So when you buy knowing there is a good chance it’s a scam you are actually helping these people scam anyone who uses paypal. Have you ever wondered why their fees are so high and why they keep going up?
So I would seriously suggest contacting paypal right now and telling them that you believe it’s a scam. I they are not a scam They will just put a lock on this money until the flashlight is delivered if you don’t do that and they are a scam and they manage to withdraw the money you have just helped them scam all of us out of a little bit of change.
It does not seem possible to contest a transaction for something not covered by the paypal protection, but I got a message from paypal support telling me to contact ebay support about the problem (item listed in wrong category, possible scam). I suggest everyone who bought into this do that asap.
I would call them on the phone. You paid with paypal and they didn’t deliver so it should be covered. Also did this money come from money left in your paypal or was it funded from a credit card or debit card? If it was funded with a card or even possibly from your bank you can do a “charge back” which is just another layer of protection. That actually goes longer than 45 days.
First though I would just call up paypal. They should be able to take care of it for you. The last one of these scams everyone got back their money the same day they got in touch with Paypal.
Good luck and just keep trying you will get it back one way or another.
In the end I never got my flashlight, but I did get my money back from paypal, all of it, and the seller has since been kicked from ebay. He’ll be back I’m sure.
