What is your favorite RCR123A (16340)?

my preferred are the lifepo4 tenergy rcr123a... but i cant say i have tried a lot of them

Do you mean batteries or flashlights?

I would like to buy some batteries for flashlight.
Thanks!

Good question, I too want to hear what others are using, I had bad luck with trustfire and ultrafire brands

the only rcr123a i have used was tenergy and ultracell (lifepo4) and some unknown regulated li-ion 3v cell. the ultracell and regulated cells worked good for a couple months, but the tenergy lasted a year or more of consistent results.

these cells were all used in a prodigy v3.1 ecig, stacked. tenergys consistently lasted more than a full day, while the other cells regularly needed to to be changed out mid day.

im sure you are looking for 3.7v cells, so this may not be of any help.

I have a Yezl 880mAh 16340 which seems to be pretty good. Have also just ordered a Nitecore RCR123 650mAh after hearing a lot of positive comments about them.

Both 3.7v and protected.

I’ve tried protected TrustFire & UltraFire 16340s/RCR123As and they just can’t handle high current drains like that of the Mini-02 or UF-K21.

I’ve tried NiteCore RCR1234As and they’re great. They can provide the current requirement needed and their claimed capacity is real.

Yet another +1 to NiteCore RCR123

A NiteCore NL166 inside an Olight S10 Baton, one of my trusty backup edc

Efest. Delivers 3 amps just fine

I’m still using those cheap “1000mAh” UltraFires…they give my EC1, S-10 and Mini ML-X all the juice they can handle, so far.

I've had great luck with genuine Trustfire Flames in that size. No issues running any of my lights at 3A when needed.

i use extremebeam 1000 mah and aw imr 550 mah

I have ultrafire gray, trustires black w/red flames and nitecore NL166. The nitecore NL166 has the best capacity of the bunch.

I use the Xtar and the Soshine. Have had good results with both.

I’m quite happy with me Solarforce 700mA ones.

I saw a nice review for Solarforce when I was looking for a better alternative to Nitecore. I'll get one sometime. I don't think there's there's much difference in the best 16340 cells, not that they're that great.

Solarforce protected 880mAh 16340 blue/white cell

$3.50 each + $2 shipping. Using my Thunder AC680 hobby charger, their capacity is around 720 mAh at the industry standard .2C (used .2A) when discharged down to 3 volts from a full charge. They are the highest capacity 16340’s I could find and they are cheap. The only downside is that they are pretty wide, so they will not fit in all lights.

I am discharge testing my Trustfire 880 mAh 16340’s I got from Tmart as I type this. I will post the results in here once it is done.

Edit: 702 mAh on the Trustfire’s from Tmart. I am genuinely suprised by that. I thought they were going to be in the 500 mAh range…

Does it fit in your oLight S10?

Your list of lights is helpful this way. I may borrow your idea.

no one else uses imr AW’s besides me?

I have AW ICR 16340’s. No complaints so far and they easily out perform my Trusfire 14500’s.

I also have some AW IMR 18350’s, which again I have no complaints with.
