My Small Sun T16 Arrived Today

Decided to order from Manafont this time, as they were the cheapest. And they did super right here. A few hours after I ordered it, it shipped out with tracking and prior acknowledgment of QC Paypal instructions.

Arrived in record time (ordered June 5th) without a flaw on it. Came with the extender piece, but even on one 26650, output is close to on par with my HD2010 on the same cell. Only one ring in the beam profile. Emitter is perfectly centered. Blows away the old one I had in output and build quality.

Folks, this is one super-handy and fairly light thrower, not to mention a superb mod candidate.

could ya tell me if its aluminum reflector or plastic/resin like zy-t13.

nice looking light btw.

I think they sell relative top-quality stuff of whatever brand/model applies. Unlike some other sellers going unmentioned, when Manafont sells you for example an Ultrafire ‘xxx’ it has been my experience it’s the real deal and not some cloned up phony inferior version.

You had an older one of these? Can we see some teardown pics of pill, reflector etc? I've been looking at this for a while and would love to know what you think of it, in some detail. TC current, beamshots etc. TIA!

Do you mean this torch? I’ve got one of these and the reflector is a heavy chunk of aluminium. I also tested it with my DMM on the ‘short’ mode and sure enough you can pass a current through it. Def not plastic.

the head is basically the same with ZY-T08 and combined with 26650 body tube?

I too have been considering getting this light for a mod candidate, but I've got too many mods sitting on the back burner as it is now to bother ordering it.

The ZY-t13 reflector is plastic. I think You are being fooled by the vapor deposition coating, it has silver or some other metal on it that can pass current. It feels a little heavy but is indeed plastic.

Glass reflector, I think. Funny though; this unit doesn’t seem to throw as well as the previous one, although still very throwy. I don’t know how to explain it. And the emitter is as it should be in the reflector. More testing on the walk tonight.

Are you using the same battery type in both the old and new? Maybe swap the batteries, and see if the better throw follows the battery?

Thanks for the info, I’ll have another look tonight. But it certainly was heavy, as in a lot heavier than a metal MagCharger reflector and it felt very cold to the touch vs some plastic Mag reflectors I was messing about with at the same time.
