Ha! It was only a matter of time. Nice find, How2!
Although there's no mention of how much current is actually getting to those emitters, if it's anywhere near 3a each expect the lifespan to be really short! (30w is a lot to ask from that style of drop-in light).
It has a bunch of extensions, so you could probably run 2 or 3 18650's. Olight is introducing a 3xXML light soon that is supposed to put out 1500 ANSI lumens.
Heatsink issues.... battery is also ugly, but the problem is heatsinking!! my 15 Watt SST-50 torches are scary to use, and those are specially designed with the emitter and star sitting on the heatsink piece, not drop-ins.
Impractical as it may be, I would rather have 3x single 18650 torches.
Do let me know about that one - I've been sorta, kinda looking at those as the replacement assistant will be a lot more energetic than it's predecessor so I might well want something like that till I get the pup trained.
(Ain't happening soon as I'm waiting for Foxwood to breed some more.
They'd sold all the pups from the last litter (At $1600 a time). they sent me a video of the current litter - I wanted all 11 of them. Problem is my house isn't big enough. Come to that, my local park isn't big enough.)
Not all that soon - Foxwood don't breed all that often. I'm on the list for their next litter. Giants tend to have large litters - 11 pups is normal. I've seen the video of the current litter and I want all 11 of them. At about 40% of what I get paid a year....
Not only is my house not big enough, my local park isn't big enough!
And I want another Foxwood - Fizz was Foxwood Carpe Diem.
