I haven’t had anytime lately to even mod a light let alone scratch build one. Home renovations suck. But the least I can do is kick a few bucks over to OL for some prize money.Best of luck
Where are all the other mo-ods?
I’m half way through a switch that may or may not fit in the housing. Does that help. If no one else enters the machined section does that mean I’m world champion with an unfinished light?
I have heard nothing more of the other contestants. I am hoping some of them will be able to do something in the first part of July. I do hope that the machine made guys come out with their threads. I think there may be a couple of last minute guys posting threads on the last day. I hope not, but it may happen.
I am working on a seller to sponsor with some prizes for possible second or third places, so everyone who is signed up, should try to get their mod done. They might win a gift certificate at least. I said "might", but it looks positive so far. Just working out some details.
I am afraid now that my build will not even start before the deadline of the contest. My holidays start exactly the 16th of july, I hope I will have time then. I will do the build and make a thread on it though 
. But no contest for me unfortunately

I hope to get mine started this weekend. I still have some issues with a switch, and have no lens for it yet. I’ll probably just cut a piece of plexi for now.
What size lens? Maybe one of us has one?

The lens would need to be 55-56mm in order to work. I have glass Mag replacements but they were too small.

Why are you guys helping relic38. What hope have l got if he finishes his light or for that matter unfinished light? I’m sorry to tell you Mr relic but they are out off stock on that lens or any size close to it. I have one here I will post you that I personally guarantee you wont see until after the closing date of the comp. I should also add that I may have to pull out off this comp as I am a DNF. No don’t jump to conclusions, I’m not scared of any opposition. Well not much. OK you win, no sour grapes from me buddy.
Relic38, as you well know, some people have been known to skimp on breakfast. I think Mr Moose has Fruit Loops regularly. That, or some bizarre berry found only in rare secret places of the outback so I guess he’s getting his dietary hallucinogens.

Fortunately for me, I am in the handmade category and do not have to directly compete with your turning skills. I’ve got bullets, guns and lights made from batteries that use batteries (circular reference? ) to contend with… and those are just the ones that are already done!
Dale, that’s great, I think it will work for this light. There’s a UCLp option at 54.85mm that might work too. 
Edit: Ordered one of each, hoping the UCLp fits, but the Hardcoat is a backup.
My sincere apologies Mr relic38. I honestly thought you were competing against me. I rescind all negative comments made and my vote will go towards your light and not another certain other member who has accused me of being on some sort off berries. My pain killers are 100% made in a factory. Cheers all.
