Finally got some info on it. It’s only 200lm with a D cell, but with a 7.2 hr runtime… I could live with that.
Description
SD10 is one of the world’s smallest, lightest and brightest 32650 searchlight. It is compatible with a wide range of batteries through intelligent control, and thus it has different outputs based on different battery types. It ensures not only enough brightness but also product stability and long runtime. With premium CREE XM-L2 T6 LED, its output reaches up to 800 lumens.
Construction:
Coated tempered window resists impact.
Aerospace aluminum uni-body design combined with a stainless steel retaining ring offers superior impact resistance. Mil-Spec hard-anodized. O-ring Sealed.
Front side switch.
Superb heat release system provides excellent heat transport capacity.
Slip-resistant body design.
Lengthened lanyard hole with tail-standing design.
Operation:
A. OFF State:
Press and hold the front side switch for more than 0.5 seconds to turn on the light, while another press for 0.5 seconds will turn the light off.
B. ON State:
Click the front side switch to switch between 3 output modes: High, Medium and Low. Double click the switch to enter into Strobe mode, after another click, the light will go back to original brightness. It memorizes last brightness level when the light is turned off, while Strobe will not be memorized.
3 AA's or a D or a 32650. I've been wanting a 32650 light. I already have a charger for it. Side clickie, anodized threads and lanyard hole too. Please let this be budget friendly.
I'd recommend the Feilong at Fasttech, but they're out of stock.
I came across this earlier. No name battery, so I don't expect much. It might be the same as this cell at DX, except for about half the price. That doesn't make it good. We don't know.
There also the Trustfire 32650. From what I've seen, Trustfire flames are okay batteries with consistent quality.
This is looking good. I already have too many lights incoming, but if I ever see this thing in a good discount I might not be able to resist…
Well, hell... I guess I had better go call them and see if I can't get one for "review". Off to get the phone...
Well, maybe email. I forgot I can't do international calls.
Group buy anyone? OMG, not another group buy.
I am definitely going to contact these people now.
I sent them an email today, so possibly I will get a response on Monday, (sunday in the wee hours). I would like to get hold of one and see what it's like.
