Is FastTech going SlowTech?

I had about ten previous orders from FT, all sent either via Sing or HKpost. Usually FT ships the package a day after payment, and then at least 3 to 5 days the package ‘sleeps’ in the post office before their websites are updated, whether ‘info received’ and eventually sent of country of destination.

It’s possible. just create ticket before order to request default shipping service using certain courier.

once they tried to ship mine using SGpost, luckily I spotted it earlier when status was still packing. created a ticket and posted in their thread. they default mine to HKpost.

I noticed that when I order batteries they ship them Singpost and that usually means a 20 days in transit. It may have something to do with restrictions? My last flashlight only took 8 days and it was via HK post, no batteries.

Fasttech ships ALL of my stuff with singpost for quite some time now.

Jasmine changed it so my orders would be sent by HK Post. I’ve only had two FT orders by Sing Post (one of which was lost by Royal Fail) so I can’t say whether it’s actually any slower or faster.

SingPost is definitely slower. Every order that's gone through them has gotten stuck in limbo for between 1 & 2 weeks before being sent across the ocean. HKPost is, I think every single time, less than 24 hours from their receipt of the package to it leaving HK.

My last FT order included batteries and it got here via the normal HKPost, this was around 3 weeks ago.

I can tell you I definitely order from IOS less often than I'd like only because of that 1-2 week SingPost delay.

After they shipped two of my recent orders SGPost, I opened a ticket to point out that they said all of Canada was to be SGPost blacklisted. They responded by apologizing and saying my account has been SGPost blacklisted. I hope it sticks better than the Canada-wide blacklist did.

Its probably a cheaper way to ship then, FT should give you the option to pay more for quicker service and stop the stupidity.

I ship worldwide and learned long ago that charging actual postage cost was a better model. Because one day you will raise item prices to cover shipping, if your items go up due to the ever increasing shipping cost you look overpriced etc…

FT has low prices and free shipping worldwide, I doubt that will last forever. BUT, I ain’t complaining, I love the 18650’s I’ve been receiving from them. Great price, genuine product, packed well and did I say cheap price! FT is the first place I look because the service has been consistent for me.

I’ve only had one Miami return experience, but I got the impression that they were slow to mark items as received. FT didn’t seem to think that my return had arrived until I provided tracking info. (Once they got the tracking info, the credit was done right away.) So, I guess my advice is to poke at them a little bit and send stuff tracked.

I returned a defective battery box to them via Miami and they sent out a new one before it arrived at Miami but I also sent them a picture of the shipping receipt and let them know that I needed it as soon as possible.

Same here.

“Squeaky wheel always gets the grease” :)!

I’ve often wondered what this Miami address is? I was guessing it is some sort of independent third party business that FT hires. So finally just now I decided to do some Google Sleuthing. Turns out that indeed is the case. FT uses this company to take care of the North AMerican returns.

It would appear your returned item has to sit in Miami for a long time before it gets consolidated and then resent to Hong Kong whereupon FT then can ascertain it has been returned. Probably better to send it directly back to Hong Kong if possible.

I wanted to return a light to them in Miami. It was their fault so they were willing to pay shipping costs, but only by surface transport and without tracking. They pointed out in an email that it would take a "long time" for it to arrive and that they would not give me my refund until they received it. Since there would be no tracking and they could always claim they never got it, I opted to keep the light and accept a discount.

I got HK mail with my last order (no flashlights; just vape/ecig hardware). I don’t know if it made any difference, but I paid an extra $0.58 on my order for USPS shipping (5-8 days).

Ordered on the 22nd of June, shipped the 24th, and I had it in my hands July 1st.

Yeah I’m currently going through that. The thing I don’t understand is- I uploaded a jpeg of the friggin receipt with tracking number and an estimated delivery date? They have the info why are they asking me for it?

I’ve had 100% bad experiences with Singpost. Over the last year, two packages shipped via singpost, two packages lost… Just asked FT to ship my package via HongKong mail. Lets hope she reads the message…

I know that this thread is about FT, but I concur about your IOS comment. I have an order with them in mid-June, and it’s now 7/3, and tracking is stuck at “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment” since 6/22 :(. They have a lot of stuff that I’d like to order, but their shipping takes a really long time.

I bought some things from Wallbuys and Fasttech and DX at the same time.

My Wallbuys order arrived today even thought it was sent 2 days after the DX order and still no sign of my Fasttech order.

I thought Wallbuys was supposed to be slow but it looks like it won the race out of my last purchases.

hi, i live in the uk and my delivery times can vary greatly… ive had batteries turn up in a week ! ? but ive also had stuff take 3-4 weeks (registered HK) … sat in customs in the uk for over a week according to tracking… looks like a lucky dip to me on delivery. lol
