i am now asking about estimated shipping to Japan, USA, UK, Australia to get an idea for members around the world to get an idea of final costs
i am also going to ask about PWM frequency and if the tripod mount is sealed off from the internal circuits

I'm probably misunderstanding something, but 2.5A per LED, seems quite high, for a multi LED light. What are the SRK's pulling? IIRC it was ~5.5A.
This driver would be pulling at least 7.5A... which is great, if that's the case, but it would suck to find out that the driver is actually just 2.5A.
Also, any other option for LED, or strictly only XMLT6?

I'm maybe in for 2 depending on the to price.
But if it were me, producing these light and selling them for $28, I wouldn't like changing to many things for 50 hungry and widely variable preferenced BLFers.

I want high Pwm, white haIII, cw around 5500-6000, 4 emitters, xml 2, no blinkies, and direct on copper, and they should add a mag. control ring.
Just kidding.
If LEDs are in series, each LED would get the same current ie, 2.5A and at approximately 700lumens per XM-L at 2.5A, the claim of 2000lumens sounds correct.
The light seems interesting but 1) I’m international and unless they are shipping via HKpost, I can’t jump in. (shipping a box that size to me via fedex would cost in the range of $27US.) 2) I’m NOT a fan of cool white.

got some more details last night...
PWM is 500hz... not a big deal to me, as the original driver will be swapped with texaspyros, but probably is to some of you. im not sure what the original SRK used.
after some searching i found this review:

dr jones said the king had 184hz
and regarding the tripod mount. in less words, they said dirt and water can not get inside the light through that hole
regarding the shipping cost, they said it would depend on how many pieces was shipped to each country. i will email them back tonight, try to make it as clear as possible that we are just looking for a shipping quote per piece shipped via HK Post.
like i said, they do not seem to speak the best english, so i will have to try to reword it...

500Hz isn’t too bad, I’ve dealt with lights that had 120Hz PWM as well.
they had also said that the driver was 50mm diameter, but im still not sure thats correct according to this picture they had sent me

i dont think that is going to happen. i am thinking about suggesting a nice flat rate of $30 per light, shipped.
im hoping this goes good and we hit 50 pieces or more. ive been doing some scrounging trying to find another new light for the next GB if this one goes through smoothly. got my eye on a couple, but we will see
