That Ganzo does look cool, and cheap.

If you do buy one, make sure to leave a review as I’d be interested in that one, would consider it for a present for my father if it’s any good.

Hey Dale, I have a supertool (smart ass wife just chimed in that there is nothing super about my tool) that my shop forman from VA gave me for x-mas one year. That thing has saved my A$$ so many times that I won’t travel anywhere w/out it.These MT tools are like microwave ovens were in the late 70’s.You didn’t need one until you got one, then you could never live w/out it!-Rick

Big wood… Good job on the review. Love the pics.

Do you have any China made MTs that you can compare them to? I’ve had a Ganzo 301 break on me but I’m pretty rough with my tools.

Sorry , dont have any…

I got hooked a long time ago… I am into them as much as my lights…

I have owned a Charge TTI for some years and it is VERY prone to corrosion.

Definitely something to be aware of. If you are using it in very wet or humid environments you will 100% need to lube it in order to protect from the elements.

I’m awestruck! That’s a beauty.

Got caught out in a rain storm & had to use Brasso on it…

Anyone with ST300 can report on quality of its screwdrivers?

I tested mine last night and it looks like on the smallest one I managed to bend its corners when trying to screw in phillips screw into an old digital decoders case, I used the smallest flat tip screwdriver. I tried to re-straighten them with IDL T10 pliers, it partly worked.
ST300’s phillips screwdriver fared excellently - no damage to it even when excessive force applied on the same screw.
But it looks like its made out of different material, it has different color, its more dark-gray than silver-gray like other tools.

Im not sure whether I applied excessive force or not, but I expected it to fare better?

Any other reports regarding LM’s strenght/weaknesses in this department?

How are their bits? I have removable bit adapter kit coming my way.

I bought a LM Wingman at Lowes on sale for $15.

Its pretty nice, especially for the price. I wish it had a wood saw on it, but other than that its nice. Kind of heavy though and it looks like its made folded and stamped so kind of cheap construction, but it is their cheapest MT I think.

Im carrying it around in my cargo shorts to see how I like it. Ive already used it a few times. For 15$ it was a no-brainer to buy one.

I dont think I would be interested in a more expensive model buy to not using it that much…

Wow, 15$, thats cheap! EAT THAT, GANZO :D!
And yeah, file on it looks ridiculously small and it is!
I fully understand you, if you dont have use for one and dont plan on using it often, then 15$ for MT is all you might ever need.
Im still waiting for my Wingman to arrive, spent 25$ shipped on it, lets see how good it is.

Wave Added

Dale, looks like youre the only one willing do some nasty with your tools-can you try to abuse your st300 smallest flathead and see if corners will bend?

I use that small flathead @ work often. No issue yet. Have you had a problem with yours?

I have used and abused all of my leathermans. I have broke both of my flat head bits, and the wire cutter on my wave does not like cutting.045 welding wire. The pivot on the pliers is worn, and sometimes when used for a heavy task they get bound up and I need to bang them off something to realign the pivot.

I have already broke the file off of my ps4, I was using it to pry open a tv case

But I live 40 mins from llbean. All I have to do is bring it there and get a new one.

My wave has seen about 5 years of heavy use and I am more than happy with its current condition

There’s more differences between the original and new style wave in addition to the removable screwdriver bits:
-All tools have locking mechanism
-Smaller scissors
-Reshaped main blade and pliers
-Little bit bigger size and few grams more weight due to all the changes.

The old style wave is slimmer, and I’ve seen some complain that the new one is not as comfortable to hold.

+1 Thanx

Skeletool added

Wingman added

I’m fairly impressed with the Wingman. For someone just looking for a multi tool. Especially a economical most bang for your buck type deal. I think the Wingman would be tough to beat.

I carry a Charge TTi. I have a Squirt PS4 and P4, a Kick, and a Super Tool 300.

All Leatherman tools are good (at least based on my small sampling).
