like i said this is my first time trying to organize anything like this. i am hoping to do it again, but have learned what parts are important to discuss before hand. shipping charges, payment format, make sure each item can be paid for by each member involved, and shipped to each member involved...

Actually, the only GB I’ve participated in was for the FF 18650 with RIC, so this is all also kind of new to me, so I’m finding things out myself :).

oh, i know no fingers are being pointed in my direction, at least i hope not
but some of the important issues i did not think about before hand have turned into headaches. this has gone fairly smooth, but not as smooth as i was hoping
when quoted $21 for shipping last night, to say i was slightly disappointed is an understatement
Perhaps ask for shipping discounts on multiples and not just 2 to same address? e.g., $33 for first + $28/29 for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.
This group buy is 3 days old. Truth be told at present it's still more of a feeler.

Honestly, the cells and charger probly suck anyhow.
I think this started as a feeler, but now its gotten pretty firm. The supplier has answered most, if not all, of our questions. We know where they stand.
The only question left to ask is to yourself: do you want a $33 (shipped) 4*18650 / 3*xml SRK competitor? Or not?
Correction: No one SHOULD be interested in those cells or the charger.

lol, exactly. thats why i did not want it included.
and it did start out as a feeler, but we were half way to the 50 piece mark after one day, and in the past two days we have been able to work out most of the details. all that i think is left to do is make sure that the shipping is tracked, paypal is accepted, and a neat orderly way to keep track of all orders made from the group buy.
edit: and i am already on the search for the next group buy. got my eye on 3 companies, and 6 different flashlights i am considering for the next group buy 
but i wont get ahead of myself quite yet. i will probably start it after the items from this one start to get delivered

find out about DOA/fault products/warranties. these are first run so you never know, plus ChinaPost isnt always careful with packages
i want to say they will warranty the flashlight for 1 year, but i cant seem to find it right now... let me look a little deeper
