[GB-Closed!] Supfire m6 triple - CLOSED!

Links to posts don’t work too well if members have different posts per page option.

Post numbers are much more useful.

yeah, brings me to #351 ( i have 50 post/page)

can you ask if we’d have to pay return postage or even both way postage because if thats the case then the warranty is useless. we’d pay more to send the light back and pay for a replacement then we would for the original light. i sent a laser back to HK once and it ran me $18 for a freakin 501b sized laser! that was cheapest way to ship too!

she did state they had a twelve month warranty, at this price it would cost more to ship back than to just mod for much more output tbh.

My thoughts too, but the warranty is there for those concerned

That person from Supfire said 1 year warranty earlier.

apparently missed the 5 other comments before yours and my 2 replies to those comments but thanks

Warranty for anyone in the US would be irrelevant. It will cost you over $40 to ship back tracked.

Saw that after I posted

I am still in for 1 around $35 shipped.

Bumpity bump.

SB, my guess is around the same as an SRK or Kung. My intentions is to mod it. I think it looks better than the SRK.

Pulsar, I think payment should go directly to their PP address and not through you. I know it was not suggested anywhere that it would go through you, but I wanted to state that just in case. Any issues people have will be dealt with to the person they pay. It should be them.

I am comfused if it is brighter than the SRK, also I have no idea how to mode this :~
Yes it is more beautiful and cheaper but is it brighter?

At 2.5A, xmlt6 should put out around 800 lumens. Given about ~15% loss due to reflector, and lens, 2000 lumens stands right on the mark. There is a thread on another forum with LED efficiency results, and that's where I'm getting the 800 number.

If it's actually 700, than it won't be as bright as a king.

It really comes down to the question of the driver.

I expect this light will match, or slightly surpass the standard SRK.

@pulsar
could you confirm about the chinese letter on the light?i prefer there is none since i don’t understand it.
and since it will shipped with CN post i hope they handle it with care,i’ve seen a video how they treat a package really bad by throwing them and such :frowning:

In order to answer all these questions about current, driver size, heatsinking, fit and finish, durability, quality, and ultimately a comparison against the SRK, I strongly vouch for the’s review.

If DHL does its job well, we might get the light in the’s hands within a week, and meanwhile we can be processing the PP payments. Just my idea.

Thank you the very much for volunteering to review the light!

Thanks for the answers about the SRK vs. M6 potential brightness.

It looks like the SRK is definitely all over the board for current draw. Here the reviewer got 7.5A whereas in this thread they measured between 6.63A and 5.35A. So I guess it’s hard to predict how bright this new M6 will be in comparison. Like markito said a few posts above, I also wouldn’t mod this if I bought it, so out the box brightness is all I would get.

It appears that the SRK can be used with less than 4 batteries if desired (because they are in a parallel circuit). So the same goes for the M6, correct?

Another question: How much parasitic drain would the M6 pull on the switch when turned off, and is lockout possible?

I guess that the parasitic drain would depend on their design, but the pics on their website seem to show that the body threads are anodized, with no ano on the front. I think that that would mean lockout would work by loosening the battery tube/body a bit, right?

Yes, correct. Should be possible.

A proper test/review would give definitive answers to these questions.. ;)

Right.

Thanks. I guess that I’m learning, eh :)!
