FastTech Priority accounts

I have placed around 40 orders from FT in in the last 6 months. Many smaller ones, and all orders below 34$. I split up orders due to tax/import fees. Sometimes I even split orders to get them below 15$. That way they go in the mailbox withouth me having to sign or pick up the package at the post office.

Spent 500-600$+ , no special priority for me.

FT are good, but like many others, sometime they answer slowly, sometimes they use many days to ship a package, sometimes packages are very slow. I do feel their response, and shipping times have worsened lately too. They where good in the beginning when Jasmine had time to the forum and everything. Then most things were handled in less than 24 hours, and in a better way.

I have never understood the FT hype from some people. They are fairly good, and generally have good prices, a nice page and all. But they are far from top notch in every department. When that is said, I still like them and have no issues ordering from them.

Same here  . My last order was shipped out on the 2nd day and arrived 6 working days later. It wasn’t a big order, just some bits and pieces for my camera etc. (<$12). So far so good, haven’t had any issues at all. They still get my vote.

Lol I thaught that was some marketing only, just to make the customer feel better…but now I know that I am better than you

Meanie!! :_(

Ouch, I see how this might cause some stir. Thanks for sharing Chloe.

I give them usually more than $200 a month. What exactly do you have to do to get the 'we won't delay your orders on purpose' special treatment?

Special treatment to jasmine helps

Ahh. >.< I don’t think she ever forgave me after my reply in the Crelant thread.

If so, that's a ridiculous way to run a business and this is the beginning of the end for them. In 6 months they'll be just another Manafont.

well, even after spending almost $700US there and numerous forum posts, I still haven’t achieved ‘priority’ status. I wonder if my next order (multiple items) will be priority? Hmmmm.

I don't see the big deal. All companies give priority to certain customers in some way or the other. As long as the level of service provided to me doesn't suffer, I don't care if they treat others better.

I'm not a priority customer, but they did just use tracking on an order that wasn't big enough to include tracking.

I don’t have that badge, but when I bought $60 worth of batteries it was shipped within a few hours. I think I bought them around 2AM

Well, I don’t have a badge, but now I know if I ever have a problem, I need to make a huge stink on forums to get one!

Sort of a joke, but not really, looks like that’s what you have to do to get “priority” if you don’t order large orders. :stuck_out_tongue:

special treatment?

discrimination??

ha, i give THEM special treatment!! FT staff knows too well what pita the customer 'kresil' is. ( hehe )

am not proud of it, just saying.

oh don't quote me on this, or i will delete.

I just had a look at my orders and although spending $475.00 since June 04, and with over 6 pages of orders in the history, no such luck. However I still await the $145.00 order I placed on July 09 and marked as shipped on July 12. In the meantime the AV Cable I ordered from HK off eBay on July 20 arrived yesterday. In spite of the incredible litany of excuses FT has been coming up with for all the ongoing shipping delays, the only thing that seems for sure is they are playing fast and furious with telling the truth it would seem.

Isn’t it encouraging to see Geek making statements like the following?

I don’t have any badges and I’ve spent about $200 total there over a few orders.

Seems they only want to make the big spenders happy if they aren’t working in order of first come first serve.

Wonder if they will lose enough smaller spenders due to lack of support and long shipping times to make them realize what they have done.

You're welcome to go back to DX.

+1,more like +10

ive spent over $900 there and nothing for me, in fact their service has gotten much worse, but wallbuys service has gotten much better, in fact my fastest items have came from them! Don’t know if ill order from FT again, if I do it will be a small order I don’t really care about.

Thanks for the tip, think I’ll grab some 26.5mm drop-ins, bike gloves, and NCR18650B unprotected from them today and give them a try. On some of the other items they seem a bit high or out of date, for example the Solarforce hosts are cheaper from the Solarforce website, and the Spark SL6S-740NM are the older XM-L at $9.00 more than the Canadian price where they are XM-L2.

I also noted that on the image for their T6 XM-L drop-ins they have the spring soldered to a separate board, whereas the drop-in I got from IOS recently has the spring soldered inverted directly to the Nanjg driver. Think I prefer the former method, but IOS had more choices for drop-ins such as XM-L2 T47C until they seem to have run out of stock.

And BTW, it appears the FT order that went SG Post that I referenced above (ordered July 9) is at the post office today, so at three weeks+, it beat the last one by a week.

Update: The slow-down was probably not FT. The large heavy package contained 3 knives, batteries, and a weigh scale, “Opened by Customs”. No wonder, glad to see that Customs is being alert and vigilant. However I’m sure if I was a FT Priority Customer, my package would have enjoyed diplomatic immunity wouldn’t it?
