Vinz Custom P60 Modules: Quad XP-G and Triple 219

Thanks for the link

Since when does IS sell bare quad PCBs?

Great dropins. Vinz surely does make astonishing work.

Thanks. :)

Since I have a big anniversary coming up, was knocking around the idea of buying a small reasonably priced piece of ‘jewelry’ for the wife… and if she didn’t like it, I would get to keep it.

Triple or Quad?

Well, at least I would have great light to find the way to my new home - out in the doghouse!

Nice work Foy (and Vinz)

Any idea if this will correctly fit a true surefire?

P-60 drop in. I am willing to bet it does, but contact Vinz and ask him.

he replies but slowly, i want to just get info and hurry and get an order in, haha

It will fit a 6P but I think it might not work with the head on a 6P LED. I had to use a Solarforce head.

Sweet! I really like their exterior designs. But those beam shots are really bright enough.

Where do I order the quad xp-g,I gotta have one.

hi are these still available please?.
Nichia?.
im looking for the drop in and quality 18650 body to stick it in.
could it be built for me then sent?.
looking for a bright nichia 219 / home garden use really.

im in the UK currently.
kindest thanks.

Really? And a C2 as well? I thought they were way to long for a Surefire host.

I owned the single XMLU2 - it was made for a solarforce host and fits snugly. It was too large to fit in my 6p.

if I bought the Nichia drop in, what body would be an exact fit for it?.
would it be a straight good fit, ready to use?.

what’s best ?.
thanks.

Solarforce L2m, L2t are what I have used with vinz’s drop ins - any solarfoce 18650 p60 host will fit from what i understand since all their parts are interchangeable

Though I’m not at all opposed to buying for purely aesthetic reasons (and these creations are gorgeous!), is there any pragmatic benefit to these drop-ins over others? It seems that 4 LED’s utilizing a relatively small reflector and only 3.7v isn’t the most efficient lighting.

thanks, what other drop in can be better than these. they look really good, wow!.
i did see some nichia p60 drop in’s at illumination supply in the US, but what is the difference ?.

something as this;

thanks…

those dropins you linked are quite a bit different than the vinz drop ins

malkoff dropins are usually used with cr123 batteries since they are usually based on 3, 6, or 9 volts and will run a battery until there is nothing left in it, so if you use a lithium ion it will run the battery down till the protection circuit is tripped.

the malkoff dropin you linked is 60 lumens in output - much much less than the vinz one - but the advantage to this low output coupled with its efficient buck/boost circuit would result in very long efficient run times. Ideal for an emergency light (since cr123s have a shelf life of 10 years)

edit: having owned about 12 p60s including several triples and a quad, nothing is better than vinz’s dropins

edit: double post

thanks, so if I buy the Vinz drop in, what is the best host?.
Sforce?.
where can I get that in the UK?.
was thinking flashaholics?.

thanks.
