Corrected an error I noticed. The ledna XP-G2 R3 5B leds were listed as 5000k, changed it to 4400k 4200k.

Hmm, I’m seeing illumination supply XP-G2 R5 3D 20mm star listed twice@$7.25 and once@$5.5
Guessing that is suppose to be 20mm $7.25, 10mm $7 and Bare $5.50. Correcting.

If there is a minor mistake, just do the edit. I don't see the point of announcing minor changes, or error fixing. But if you feel that the change is important, feel free to post about it. I have done a bunch of minor fixes, and sometimes added/changed several products, deleted dead links etc.. I don't bother notifying about minor changes to emitters that have been added.
If you update a line/emitter completely, just fix the update date, and add your name too it. I don't think there is a need to bump the thread for every minor update. But if the updated emitter fell 2$ in price, then it might be valuable information to some and then be worth mentioning. This is just my opinion though..
The most important thing is that people can visit this thread and see the more important things that have been added without having to browse the spreadsheet on a weekly/monthly basis just to see what have been updated. LED related talk/questions is no issue either..
I started this thread, and the database. I hope that in a year I was just the person that got the ball rolling and that several people contribute. Its nice seeing many other names in the spreadsheet than my own. :) Feel free to look for errors and fix them, im sure Ive done several slip ups. And sometimes, stuff are wrong simply because stores update the emitter.
The kelvin estimates is probably slightly off too at times, but those can be discussed, and sometimes even the stores selling the emitters does not seem to always state the same range either.
The most important thing with the database is that people should be able to find the emitter/tint/mcpcb combo they desire, preferably at the best prices out there without having to browse through all the various stores in order to find what they are searching for.
I also hope that to many people this database works as an eye opener to what is out there. Maybe I did not look much, but even in the beginning of 2013, it seemed like CW (normally 6500K A1/1C) was the most default option by everyone, many people had discovered NW, but most just talked about the 3C. And if people talk about WW, then it was mostly a 3000K emitter. There was a huge gap between the 3000-5000K range. And there was little focus on tint color (not temperature) in general. If you wanted decent CRI, then you had to buy the typical high CRI Nichia 219 (nothing wrong with that). I have started to notice more an more people exploring different stuff lately, and I don't hear much complains from people who tries new things. :) Rather the opposite, people who start disliking what they used to like, or people who develop new preferences.
Testing out various emitters and finding out what you like in what circumstance and in what type of light adds a new dimension to the hobby, some may not be into that. But no matter what people are into, the database should be useful as long as they are shopping for new emitters.
The XM-L2 T3 6A1 80 CRI minimum are now in stock at intl-outdoor again, copper mounted. Added to the spreadsheet. They are WW, but the not super warm. They are probably the least yellow and most "rosy" emitters in the database. Its the same as the ones being sold in the WW Xin X3.

When that is said, no need that add emitters that have already been added. Ill delete all the emitters that are double.
As mentioned in OP, there is a sort feature. Sometimes all emitters are not shown. I guess the anonymous user did not see all the emitters that were added. There is a total of 100+ XM-L2s.
I have added the following emitters btw. All available in 12/14/16/20/25mm mcpcb.
Ill get back to my experience with this seller, but I consider him good, and so does others it seems. When that is said he used to have various other emitters about a month ago, some good stuff that he no longer have. Currently he have a lot of emitters that FT sells too, and FT are cheaper. The three emitters above seem to be unique for his store at the moment, so that is why I did not bother adding more than those.
Will we ever see XML2 2C? I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds 1C's too blue, but 3C's too yellow 
If I shine a 1C and 3C on the same spot (presumably 2C then :) ), that makes the perfect color to me. Why is no one selling XML2 in those colors :(
The 2C might arrive, tomorrow, or next year.
Have you tired the 3A? Slighty cooler and less yellow compared to the 3C.
If you neither like 1C or 3C you may not like 2C either, have you tried a 2B tint ?

I have both 2B and 2C XM-L1 and they extremely close.
RaceR86 suggested I place this chart here. I’m glad he did as I had not spotted this thread. I realize there are probably other sources and some more options out there, I just placed the ones that I was looking at on there. I’d be happy to keep it updated if anyone sends me some other viable (International) sources. As I am not in the USA the sources there are not on my radar due to the high shipping costs that USPS incurs.
I’m thinking about buying the 5 lot of the bare T5 5B1 placing them on Noctigon copper base from IOS. Does that seem like a reasonable idea? I see there is both a T4 and T5, which one to choose?
I said I would get back with some feedback on the emitters from Simon, the aliexpress seller.
Emitters were nicely packed and marked. My package used a very long time, but I don't blame the seller, it was just one of those slow packages. Or should I say, slow planes. :p I had tracking, which is nice. :)
T2 8B4 (80CRI minimum)
is just like described. Its quite unique being that warm. Its very warm, and on the yellow side of things. It is certainly warmer then all my emitters in the "7" range and less warm compared to a de-domed 7C, which I assume is more of a "9" in terms of temperature. :p
For general flashlight use, its a too yellow for me.
If you loose electricity and you want light mimicking indoor warm lighting and being a bit "cosy". Its nice. But those rare times, I end up using candles instead of tail standing flashlights. Id also prefer a de-domed "7" emitter since that is even more "cosy".
Could be nice emitter inside a tent when camping when you want very warm light.
Might be a nice emitter for mixing with cooler emitters in a multi-emitter light if you want to warmen it up. I might end up using it for that, or just having it available for comparison or as a unique light that is warmer than most. To sum it up. This emitter is not for everyone, but it seems to be just as described.
T4 7A3 (80CRI minimum)
Again, tint is just like described. Output seems good, and color rendering is great for this warmth. I like this emitter much better than various other "7" emitters I used before, which were on the yellow side of things. This is easily my favorite WW emitter when looking at proper warm in the 3000K range. It beats the various 90+ CRI emitters (XP-G2 and XM-L2) IMO. The reason for that is due to it being less yellow in the tint, and thereby it renders colors very nicely. Highly recommended if you are looking for a proper warm emitter.
As for my logic to liking more "red" in the warm emitters I think it has to do with that warm emitters as often being perceived as yellow, possibly orange. But this just adds that little red-tone making it very nice. Its also on the upper side of 3000K, not below (beeing warmer than 3000K).
T4 7A4 (80CRI minimum)
Currently this emitter is no longer seen in his store. Again, just like described. More red/rosy compared to the 7A3. Im not that into the 6A1 due to its "rosy" look. But this one I like. :) I might end up using mix it with some more yellow emitters, but its pretty nice! :) I prefer the 7A3, but this is also nice. :)
T4 6A3 (80 CRI minimum)
Why isnt he selling this anymore, and why are IOS selling T3 6A1 instead?? I can not verify the bin. I can only say that side by side with a T4 5B1 at similar current and similar reflector it looks very equal in terms of output.
For those who want a slightly warm emitter and are not into the warm stuff down towards 3000K. This emitter is just great. Its not really yellow in tone, it has that slight hint of red in it. Basically confirming its "A3". I really like this emitter. If people who are skeptical about WW then this emitter should be the entry into the land of WW emitters. Highly recommended!

I normally don't share MY THOUGHTS, on various emitters. But since this is a new seller, I would just say that his stuff seems like the real deal. And I got some emitters that are currently not found elsewhere, and they were really nice! :bigsmile: I hope he continue to sell the real deal and offer some stuff that is not seen elsewhere.

T5 is brighter. Higher bin is always brighter.
But IOS sells the more special 80+ CRI version of the 5B1. I would sacrifice BIN for CRI, so I would buy the one from IOS. On top of that you could even buy it mounted on Noctigon.

I should have mentioned, I already have some of the bare Noctigon base plates that I’ll need to place some emitters on. And I did grab some of the 16 and 20mm noctigons with T4 5B emitters already from IOS. So I guess I might as well go ahead and grab some of the T5 5B emitters from Simon, and now leaning toward trying some T4 5D2 and T3 6A1 from IOS based on your comments about the rose. I know I really prefer rose in my sunglass tints, not sure if that means I’d also prefer it in my flashlight tint but seems to make sense.

Edit: The 6A1 certainly have a purpose, but for me it will me more of a "tint enhancer" combined with other emitters. :)
I know several people on the forum like it though, im one of the few who thinks its a bit too rosy.
