Test / Review: Xtar 18350 900mAh (Black)

Xtar 18350 900mAh (Black)

Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 900mAh
  • Voltage: 3.7V 3.33Wh
  • Size: ø18.0±0.2mm x 36.3±±0.5mm

This battery has slightly better capacity than specified.

The battery does very good up to 2A, at 3A the cells show variations.

Conclusion

The battery has good performance and at can match some IMR cells at 2A (It has more capacity and about same voltage).
I will only rate the battery as acceptable, because it uses an unknown cell.

Thanks for the review HKJ. Looks like a decent cell.
Might be a good option for those that want to cram an MT-G2 into a 1x18650 host and drive it at 3A for a few minutes.

Thanks, great as always!

Nice review, another option vs aw imr 18350s.

Thanks for the review!
Does anyone know the best source for these?

I made the mistake of picking up two Trustfire "1200mAh" 18350s on a whim, expecting them to be less than rated capacity, but not this bad... on a discharge test at .2A down to 3v on the hobby charger, they measure only 388 & 362mAh. D'OH!

Thanks a lot for the review! Frontpage’d and Sticky’d.
