lanyards-Show em if you got em

Monkey fist (19mm steel ball bearing) and a skull key fob.

Resurrecting an old thread -

This is my 4th piece over the weekend, and it will probably go to my son to keep in his Jeep for his great dane: everything on this was a new knot learned today. The bead is one of the paracord ranger beads. Still tying everything freehand.

Will probably make a simple jig tomorrow for a turk’s head wrap to try that out on a light.

Other pieces: 1st was a simple, flat cobra weave keychain lanyard, 2nd were some zipper pulls to replace noisy metal tabs (my original excuse for buying some extra paracord), 3rd was a snake knot knife lanyard for my T01.

Love those little ones Jack! You can see them almost move if you stare at the photo!

Made and sold some wrist lanyards

Snake knot bracelet with magnetic clasp

Hi, I love your work!
Do you have a guide for the first lanyard?

Thanks for the kind words.

The above was made using a snake knot - Snake Knot Tutorial

Always carry a small flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite , and furthermore always carry a small snake .

A Barber Pole Stash Fob .

For all of us that like to do a bit of “man knitting” Heinnie Haynes is selling Atwood Rope Company Zombie Edition Paracord probably only of interest to us in the U.K.

They are from Atwood so you know they’ll be good to work with.

these are some cool pieces you guys are doing. hey jack, how much do these run anyways? i would like one for my btu shocker. A paracord lanyard was included, but i would like one thats flat instead of round, and alot longer so it can be used as a shoulder strap instead of a hand strip.

this is the way CNQ does it. if you can think of another way…but this way seems pretty good, as it can be taken off at the head, but i would like it to be removable at the tail cap as well.

and this pattern that you did should work fine. seems flat enough for a shoulder strap.

I could make a shoulder strap with your initials in Morse code .....

Here is a bracelet that says USN in Morse code .

i like the two tone colorway, morse code is kinda cool, but not for my taste since i cannot read it.
thats not glow in the dark is it?

did you have any ideas on how you would rig it up to a shocker? or just doin it the same way as cnq?
about how much you think something like this would cost?

Cheers for that, I can’t stand all those odd colour combos myself, but many people love em.

For great quality cord in the UK I use wildelk.co.uk. Not the cheapest, but great customer service and they always supply good cord.

I’ll second that, I’ve tried several suppliers and keep coming back to Wild Elk.
I can’t stand getting out of shape paracord, it doesn’t work as easily as round cord.
Atwood does a really good Dark Woodland Camo that I get from HH, for just about everything else it’s 100’ hanks from Wild Elk.
I recently “won” two 25’ lengths of glow in the dark “paracord” from China, 9 strand and worked nicely, doesn’t glow for long unless it’s in near total dark but they’re usable pastel blue and pastel yellow.
Incidentally, if you hit those Zombie colours with UV light they’d probably fluoresce strongly, several of the more normal colours do but yellows, oranges and the neon colours do it vividly.

I made a shoulder strap with a ladder rack weave . The simple looped end is designed to be lark's headed around the light or through a lanyard hole . The other , more complex end is an adjustable double loop utilizing a slide-through turk's head . The lanyard knot is there to prevent pulling the loop through itself . There is also a secondary loop at that end for either hanging the strap up or for suspending another object .

I realize that this is a busy looking tie , but I wanted to see how well I could make it function with only a single piece of paracord and no hardware .

Very nice Mr clipper. Looks good for the bigger lights.

that looks like a pretty unique shoulder strap. i think this fits the bill for the btu shocker shoulder strap that i needed.
nice to see that i can be adjusted too.

Well , blueb8llz , you did inspire this tie .
