i want to ask is it safe to charge 6xAAA batteries in series?
i’m planning to combine this with Ni MH battery
it is safe to charge nimh in series - but always use a low charging current
i regularly charge a 16 AA nimh pack (all in series), however i charge it at 200 or 300ma on a hobby charger… and cells that are overcharged will burn off excess energy in the form of heat, the low current prevents them from getting to hot (i also use a temperature probe to monitor while charging)
at the charger cradle it say
DC 8.4V 400-450mA
is it safe?
what is the capacity of the batteries?
if the capacity is 2000mah then thats around 0.4c
i would be very hesistant to use a charging cradle for a 6s pack and not a hobby charger unless its known to be reliable and have a temp shut down if it gets too hot
