Spark ST6-500CW (not realy budget)

Especially for Don, this mini review for training new assitants

You can see immideatly, this is not a real budget light.

Color body is nice, grey/green

Looks very indestructable

It has a very large hotspot and is also a good flooder (OP reflector), 1 meter in front of your feet is bright

It comes in a cartonbox and includes also a frosted lens for even more flood (haven't tested it yet)

Did some comparison by some other T6 XM-L

The color tint is quite warmer than my other T6???

I like this tint, all colors around you seems to look more real/natural.

ST6-500CW (left) versus P60 XM-L 3-mode manafont drop-in L2P host

ST6-500CW versus UF 980L

here are some tailcapmeasurements:

Battery Redilast 18650 2900mAh

Mode 1: 0.02A (real low!!!)

Mode 2: 0.10A

Mode 3: 0.35A

Mode 4: 1A

Turbo mode: 1.5A

I am very pleased with this light, if not neccesary you don't need to take another flashlight with you at night (except for the flasaholics

That's a very sharp Cool looking headlamp but also very expensive.

Thanks for the mini review thommy.

Indeed, not cheap but I think this is the first XM-L based headlamp.

And very nice looking and durable.

Got a 10% discount code.

Even I daily take another flashlight when walking with the dog, can't go out without a decent headlamp.

Before thisone, my favorite was a UF H4, also very nice with a good hotspot and average flood.

Nice review. I saw that one of the Spark tactical lights also had a side clicky, which I really like. But yeah, it was pricey, about the same as the TK41.

Sure isn't budget. Since the new assistant ha once been more than a metre from me since I picked her up, I don't think I'll be needing one just yet....

Once she's settled a bit, this may be different though. But by the time I've paid the vet, I might just about be able to afford the electricity to charge some cells to stick in one of the lights i already have. I spent close to what I paid for her on petrol (gasoline) to go and get her.

One nice thing is that they appear to have removed all the speed cameras on the M6 north of Manchester. Neither know nor care about the bits south of there.

are spark lights available in Europe or only from the US

Don't know.

Bought mine from http://www.sbflashlights.com/Spark/Spark-ST6-500CW-p106.html

Very fast and not expensive shippingcost to Belgium.

Had also a 10% discount coupon.

thanks for the reply

unfortunately they say they will not mark as a gift or mark a lower price on the package so i could end up paying import tax over here in the UK

which i think is around $30 so kind of breaks the deal for me Cry

Great looking light. I almost ordered Spark SL-6 800CW, but instead I bought Sunwayman T20C.

In Europe Spark is available at Selected-lights:

http://www.selected-lights.de/taschenlampen-nach-marken/spark-technologie/

Which is about $140. I must admit, it is tempting, but not this month. Or this year....

The new assistant cost me quite a lot (Almost as much in fuel as she cost to buy) and has vet bills to come. Like two weeks' pay so far. She'll need neutering too - at another weeks' pay.

And flights and accommodation in the US and a US student visa (application fee $140 - for two weeks in the US!). And general living expenses.

But I'd still like one.
