I been thinking of modding 4 SRKung heads for the high-beams on my SUV. ( one problem would be the cooling of them runing continously, and the voltage difference woudl need some kind of converter or new 12 volt drivers.
The Kung M4 i have is brighter than both the Halogens on high now.
My Kung is brighter than my HID headlights and HID fogs! Mostly because the Kung spotlights a much tighter beam. My car spreads out a much wider even light. Also, because my HIDs setup are 5000k fogs and 5000k headlights.
Its probably better if you just upgrad your halogens to HIDs. You can pick up a decent dual hi/low HID setup for $50. If you want really bright independent high beams, use high mount HID fog lights.
My low-beams are already 50 watt HIDs, ( only the high beams are still Halogens, but using the 100 Watt bulbs.) there is enough room in the Highbeam lens on a Avalanche 4x4 to hold 2 Skyray kungs in each one of them… i want the “instant-on” mode of the high beams to deterent those ignorant constant-high-beam drivers around here blinding all of us.
Fabricating Kungs into your housing would be a pretty big project. I would personally stick with your setup, an carry a Kung in the car with you to shine at highbeamers. That way, they wont think you’re just one of them… and you can hit them at any direction… and not just the ones in front of you.
I am thinking about getting the black one here. 4 x XM-L2 seems like the one to get. Anyone have this exact one that can comment on it? Is there another one (at approximate price) that is a better option? Thanks.
I bought one of these and will let you know how it works out once I get it. And by “you” I am referring to that one person on this forum that hasn’t bought a skyray king yet, but is contemplating it.
It used to be ” me and you”’ and now it’s just you.
Hey man, do you want to sell 100 SkyRay King or 10000 Skyray King? Make us BLF users a SWEET deal. Lower price to $32 USD and you will sell thousands guranteed. I would buy from you but YOUR PRICE IS WAY TOO HIGH.
I’m with you there. Love my Black CNQG U2 (3 emitters) and looking for a better version of it, close to 3000 OTF would be nice…surely 4 emitters of xml2’s can go close? That’s only 750 lumens per emitter, some single 18650’s put out over 1000 lumens per emitter…
i doubt youll get 3000 otf even with xml2 stock king
my guess is 2600… i think the old 3 emitter ones are around 2200-2300… added another emitter yes but probably lower current and slightly more efficient
