Crelant is a joke compared to surefire, just saying. I think this has been covered pretty good. If you like them go get some if not there are tons of whateverfire you want out there. I have a few like I said earlier, and I am defiantly not a surefire fan boy. The newer stuff is on par performance wise if not ahead of a lot of the other manufacturers out there in the same size light class. Defiantly not outdated by any means. I see no reason why people keep on comparing the surefire stuff that was out 5 years ago. Of course that is outdated. Plus this is BLF not CPF so a majority of the folk here are going to be against them and see zero value in them, but if a lot of the naysayers tried the newer stuff I am sure there would be a few different opinions on them here. I was the same way until I got a furry. I like all kinds of lights, some better than others. I guess it is what it is.
yep yep!!! And I completely disagree about the Crelant comment. I have the 7G2cs u3 & the 7G5 cs U3. They are awesome! & I am willing to thumb wrestle over it.
I would have to say the furry would be the closet to $100. It was the first surefire I could justify buying. Since it was putting out a decent amount of lumen. It is quite a bit smaller that the XinT, but has more flood and comparable throw. I like mine.
Thats my EDC of late. The 7G2cs & The DQG 18650. I’m really not all the way against Surefire. But I cant justify the cost with so many other options. For instance my Solarforce collection. I have never had one malfunction out of them. ( The P60 series ) & the L2T is a hunk of metal. Those with a good wrapped drop in seem to be fool proof.
I just got and L2T and P1D in the mail today. I really like the solorforce host. I am putting a triple XPG2 mule in one and a super charged XML2 from VInh in the other. I think I have at least one of each of their host. I use them for work and they just get destroyed |(
No he is to cute and snugly. Lol. I don’t take that one to work much, because I have had a few lights fall out of the truck never to be seen again. Rather lose a $15 or so host and a $10 dropin than $100 light. The solorforce that I just got will be for around the house and the woods. The P1D was almost $30, but I have been reading that it is the best for heat-sinking. Both of those dropins put out a lot of heat.
Helps with the heat transfer. One if my biggest problemswith the fury. It doesnt take 18650’s. I dont care to mess with CR123’s. I have so many 18650’s justwould be a pain.
Not unless you get it bored for 18650. I have read that a lot of guys use RCR123A in some of their surefire. I have not tried it yet. Yeah I dont really like the CR123’s either, but they do last a while.
-A must have flashlight for everyone in active duty. Because, you need a backup light in case you gun light runs out of battery or gets disabled.
(nice sales trick there, you don't want to be left in the dark do you? Buy a spare Surefire. Unleash the FURRY! :p Btw, If they could fit 18650s in their lights they would not run out of power that quickly )
-Features an virtually indestructible LED. (That means a cheap ass CREE LED to a few bucks. Previous generation of course. Not the new and more efficient stuff.)
-Its got DUAL OUTPUT!! (that means 2 modes).
-Its got an output of 500 lumens, which makes it unmatched by anything else in its size (yeah, right.. :D Surefire lives in their own bubble, full of big words)
-Have a Furry in your kit!
......
I have been watching Surefire propaganda. Their videos are quite good. At least in the eyes of a non-flashoholic who are amazed by all the big words and serious army talk. I wonder how they got the money to make such nice videos..
