  • Suitable for 1 or 2*AA batteries, 1*CR123A(3V) or 1*LiFePo4

Measurements

Tested with: Cree XP-G2
Diameter: 17mm
Maximum height: 5.8mm
The driver is single mode.













Conclusion

The driver is regulated between 1.8 volt and 3.3 volt, above it goes into direct drive.
The switcher is working at a very high frequency and there will not be any pwm in the light.

I had one of these in a Nichia 219 Mag 2C. Your tests confirmed my empirical observation of good regulation. I also like that the sense resistor is really easy to change because the empty pad (R2) in parallel with R1. I fried it by accidentally inserting an 18650 LiFePO4 cell in the dark, backwards.

Even though it states no reverse polarity protection, is it able to withstand a reverse polarity voltage up to a certain threshold (breakdown voltage?)? I always wonder how that works, but it must depend on the driver.
