XML lights/drop-in's with regulation?

What are the XML lights or dropin's out there with regulations? I'm pretty sure the manafont XML I have is unregulated. How about the Trustfire F15 or KD C8? I suspect many of the inexpensive lights don't have it because a 3A regulator is not cheap.

I'm kind of leery of running XML's direct draw because I have some battery with mediocre internal resistance (including pretty much all protected ones), and some like sanyo unprotected's that will go up to 4A easily on DD. Kinda risky if putting in the wrong one can blow the light/circuit.

Thanks.

I am not aware of any cheap "off the shelf" models. There are several custom built models in the +$100 market on CPF. Its a non-issue for me since these lights maintain regulation well enough throughout most of their run time, and then its time to swap in another cheap 18650 when they dim.

The KD-C8 is unregulated also and the UF 980L has the same unregulated driver as the Manafont drop in. The new DX XM-L 5mode drop in is also unregulated, the old one had an AK47 max 1.4 amp. I made a bunch of drop ins with NANJG 105c (2.8 amp) and KD XM-L 1A cool white emitters. I could part with one or two if you really want one.

Thanks for the offer. I'll have to put it on hold for now, only because I think KD dropin looks kinda coolish from the reviews and I'm trying to shift my light "collection" to as warm as possible. I wonder if the solarforce drop-in which seems a bit warmer has any kind of regulation (even if crappy) or I can stick on a 105c (which still isn't ideal, the 7135 suck down power and heat up, which seems like be a lot on a 3A light).

I really wish these low end chinese manu's would suck it up and pay a $1 or 2 more on better circuits in their lights. No business sense.

The Trustfire X8 is regulated ;)

3.8v (input) 4.2v (input)
Low 140mA 200mA
Medium 710mA 1.1A
High 1.5A 2.38A

This shows that it is NOT REGULATED. The current goes up as the voltage goes up. It should be going down if it has constant current at the emitter.

The skyray 3*XML that everyone's talking about seems to be fairly well regulated.
