Dirty rotten Ebay vendors

So you think you've seen it all when it comes to every dirty rotten trick in the book when it comes to vendors ??

take a look at this .

I purchased 20 Kodak Low self discharge batteries at a great price of $15 and before they were shipped , I wrote them a note saying "please make sure that the ones you ship are the white ones that say pre-charged on top instead of rechargable ".

Long story made short ...they sent me the wrong item ..I wrote them and explained the mistake .

And they sent me this note back :

Hi, We are sorry that your not completely satisfied with your item. I actually went back to our warehouse for you to see what model we had and the only one I have in stock is K3ARDC-4 it was my mistake for listing it that was and I revised it. I can issue you a full refund right now and you can keep the batteries if you would like. Let me know what you would like me to do. Thank you. -XXXXXX

How nice is that ?? and speedy as well...within 2 days of me sending him a note

Seems like a good seller. Last item I got ripped off on (I bought a genuine Feeldoe, and they sent a cheap chinese knockoff) took ebay's dispute people to get me my money back...

Last experience like yours was when I bought my Sipik flood-to-throw... The listing described it as multi-mode with a Q3, and the light was single-mode with a golden dragon. I mentioned this to him, not even asking for a refund or anything (I expected it to be crap for the price), and about 5 minutes later he sent me a full refund with an apology.

Im amazed the vendor didnt tell you to ship them back at your own expense since you didnt inquire about the details of the product before you committed to the purchase. Their offering to refund and allow you to keep the batteries is VERY GOOD customer service on their part. I wish we had more of this type of vendor, especially on ebay. Thanks for sharing!

Free Batteries? That's a pretty good deal you got for their mistake. Title of your post should be "Pretty good deal for a mistake by Ebay vendors".

Got a link?

Is it 270759505275?

Well... he did a mistake and was willing to rectify it at his own expenses. Not ideal but very good customer service all summed up. You dont get the wanted batteries but you did not lost anything except time. Got a bunch of good batteries too. You can't say that they are useless. If they are send them to me. :)

It was justdeals ... from california .

that's the listing on ebay ..The description said :what's in the box: and listed a different battery than shown .So i was of course hopeful that it was what the description said "Not"what the picture was .

This was one of the nicest guys I've ever dealt with ..I wrote him and he responded and then he called me ,(Got my machine)(left a nice message ) and then he sent the note above .lastly he canceled the sale on ebay and refunded my money and I got cheao free batteries to boot .all in all after all the china vendors I've been dealing with , disputes claims , photos, phonecalls ..etc .. this was like a breath of fresh air .. boom..... problem solved

I noticed ebay started the anonymous Detailed Seller Feedback a few years ago, but in the last year or 2 it seems like it has become very important and maybe even more so to the offshore vendors.

I've had several vendors that say please call us if you're going to leave less than 5 stars. I don't know why it's so important. I'm guessing that 5 star vendors get a reduction on listing fees or something. Anyhow, it's a great thing in my mind because the regular feedback really doesn't work.

Not getting 5 stars gets you more expensive listings and worse placement in the search results, as well as the risk of ebay canceling the account or other problems. The "best match" search ordering has _nothing_ to do with how well the item matches the search query, but rather is a formula of which sellers and items ebay wants to promote. While most of the factors have to do with making ebay more money, one of the factors is based on the DSRs. You can be ranked as good, standard, or bad (I don't remember the exact names ebay uses - been a while since I did much selling), with good requiring most of your buyers to leave all 5 stars, which gets you cheaper listings and earlier placement in search results. Standard is what most random people listing individual items get, and shifts you towards the middle of the search results. Bad gets your listings shoved to the very end of the search results. Getting anything but 5 stars is really bad for the seller, and 3 or below counts like negative feedback for many of ebay's algorithms.

I've usually gotten my money back when I got ripped off, but sometimes it took ebay to do it. The counterfeit Feeldoe took quite a bit of poking ebay to get my money back, as the seller kept making up crap. The only item I've never been fully refunded on was an ARB locker for my jeep, as it was long enough ago that ebay had a $200 cap on claims, and it was a lot more than $200...

Avoid vendor: "usbempire"

Bought 5 bulbs (LED) for E27 socket, never arrived even they claimed re-ship.

Lost 33USD. Time run off from my claim....

Bought one more to get a chance to vent a bit in message box. Will give zero-star feedback anyway.

AVOID!!

I am at a loss to see how someone who gives you free batteries is a dirty rotten vendor. He made a mistake, you contacted him, he made it right, actually more than right. Many sellers would require that you return the batteries at your expense to get a refund. He went out of his way to help and took a loss.

Sellers know that when DSR ratings hit a certain level, ebay will permanently suspend them and they cannot come back. For some sellers, ebay is what puts food on their tables, or perhaps gas in their tanks. I always give a seller a chance to make it right. Most will.

Any eBay seller - especially in the area of electronics - is openly exposed to fraud on nearly every deal. Buyers switch merchandise, and claim they got defective goods, they return damaged items and keep the working item, they will swap out defective components, say a junk LED and a plastic reflector for a metal reflector and good LED, or swap out an LCD screen or something else, and then open a case or return their junk and keep the good parts.

Droves of sellers are leaving eBay. Some are getting the boot. Some just shutting down.

Claims re-send twice, claims refund twice, no action.

After long messaging, refunds 1 / 5 pcs.

Please, do not buy from this seller.
The seller is / is affiliated with TOMTOP. Probably TOMTOP UK or something like that.
Steer clear folks!!
